TRUMP TAKES SHOT AT DESANTIS OVER COVID LOCKDOWNS, TOUTS SUPERIORITY IN POLLS: ‘DJT LEADING BIG!!!’

President Trump took a shot at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) in a Sunday statement posted to Truth Social, touting his superiority in the polls and railing on DeSantis for his policies during the Covid pandemic.

“The revelations about Ron DeSanctimonious doing FAR WORSE than many other Republican governors, including that he unapologetically shut down Florida and its beaches, was interesting, indeed,” Trump wrote. “DJT leading BIG!!!”

The president also shared a picture from another Truth user on Monday that included screenshots of headlines written in 2020, comparing his Covid pandemic policy against Gov. DeSantis’s. “Remember this?” Trump commented. “Some Republican states got it right, Florida got it wrong!”

Trump’s remarks come after a busy weekend for the 45th president as he kicked off his 2024 presidential campaign on Saturday in Salem, New Hampshire, with a keynote address to the New Hampshire Republican State Committee. He also spoke at the South Carolina State House on Saturday afternoon, unveiling his leadership team in the Palmetto State.

Trump dominates AGAIN in new poll, maintains his spot as the clear favorite for 2024 primary nominationhttps://t.co/BEDobYGafZ— RSBN 🇺🇸 (@RSBNetwork) January 27, 2023

“The Fake News Media was good yesterday in their coverage of my stops in New Hampshire and South Carolina,” Trump said on Truth Social. “Other than The Globalist Street Journal, which is rarely accurate or good, they said the day was really ‘amazing.’ The enthusiasm to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN has never been stronger.”

Trump has dominated primary presidential polling over the last few weeks, eclipsing Gov. DeSantis by double-digit margins among primary Republican voters. As reported by RSBN, a new poll from Premise found that 59 percent of Republicans preferred Trump as the Republican nominee in 2024, compared to only 24 percent who preferred DeSantis.

Trump also emerged the victor in the eyes of the American voters in a new Emerson College poll, which revealed that he had garnered 55 percent of support for the nomination, while Gov. DeSantis had accrued 29 percent.

President Trump told reporters onboard Trump Force One over the weekend that he would consider a presidential bid from DeSantis as a sign of disloyalty.

Trump stated, “He would have not been governor if it wasn’t for me – and that’s okay. Number one, he wouldn’t have gotten the nomination, and number two, he wouldn’t have beaten his Democrat opponent. So, then, when I hear he might run, you know, I consider that very disloyal.”

Trump cannot deal with competition. He would rather destroy a friend and ally, then work with people like Sessions, Kelly, Preinus that were yes men to his face and would stab him in the back, that have an honest person that would tell him the truth or disagree. Losing all respect for Trump.

Dems should love him, he’s a Dem!

Kentucky is like WV used to be, protect the state employee particularly the teacher’s union at all costs, throw conservatives some bones and everyone is satisfied!

President Trump took a shot at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and put another hole in his own foot.

Did you watch them? Trump was the one person trying to say relax, it’s just a cold. He got hammered daily for NOT generating fear. He wouldn’t put on a mask, he was having rallies eventhough they tried to make campaigning illegal. He kept saying there was a cure, new things were coming and being worked on (popularly he said that it doesn’t do well in sun etc). Trump tried to keep people calm but because they wanted him to lose so badly they tried to keep everyone terrified. The country will never be the same, all because they didn’t get Trump elected

Trump was a good President and can be again, but this is not helping him at all. Most conservatives admire DeSantis and are put off by this crap, especially when DeSantis hasn’t even declared.

If I were Trump, I would move on from Covid and fast. Lest someone ask why he ever ever ever trusted the Deep State after the Russia Collusion Hoax and the Ukraine Hoax. Why, after what he saw what the Deep State was capable of, why would he ever trust Deep State Fauci and foist him upon us?

Yes, move on from Covid.

If desanctimonious runs in '24, he will "win". I'll note that DeSantis won't say if he thinks 2020 was rigged.

To me, that means he *knows* that elections are rigged, and he will "win", just like others have, with the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.

Trump needs to acknowledge that the “vaccines” are not.

He also needs to apologize for not firing Fauxcy and Birx.

Trump IS dealing with competition. You’ll notice he has put his name on the ballot. The others are all running too but they are liars and politicians. Don’t expect Trump to lie down for Haley, DeSantis or anyone else. One of the many reasons he’s needed at the top.

“..about the vax stance...”

that’s ancient history now. We know Trump did a good job regarding the pandemic and it’s time to get beyond past history. The enemy is Biden and the Democrats. The job is to sell the Republicans, all of them - RINOs and all - along with independents on MAGA, and what and how to MAGA!!!!

Then Trump needs to explain why he threw Kemp under the Bus when Kemp was the first to open up a major state.

He did it to Ducey in AZ, too - and then neither man would lift a finger to help Trump when their states were stolen from him. So did Trump criticize them because he already knew they were against him - or did they turn against him after he loudly and unjustly criticized them?

DeSantis faces the same problem of every other nitwit governor who imposed their stupid lockdown measures in 2020. It’s one thing to close schools and government facilities, but shutting down a private business establishment is a whole different story. And it doesn’t help a governor when he comes across as a complete ignoramus by imposing a mix of measures that makes no sense to any rational person — like closing beaches and other outdoor areas, allowing restaurants and bars to open at 50% of their seating capacity, and allowing Walmart to open with no restrictions at all.

DeSantis’ biggest mistake here is that he won’t just own up to his decisions from 2020. Instead, he and his supporters crafted a 2022 campaign message that he “stood up for freedom during COVID,” when the well documented evidence shows that to be totally false.

Just like they all admired Jeb. When the media is trying to push you ahead there is a reason. It’s not because they think you’re going to be a threat to them. They may be wrong but they don’t see DeSantis as the threat Trump is.
