San Diego County’s Regional Transportation Agency’s (SANDAG) latest transportation plan is designed to make driving so expensive that you succumb to public transportation. In addition to the current gas tax and registration fees, SANDAG’s plan adds three new half-cent sales tax increases, over 800 miles of San Diego County freeway lanes converted to toll lanes, and a mileage tax for every mile driven to pay for their $165 billion public mass transit plan.
SANDAG’s new plan refuses to build the road improvements promised in their last plan but will continue to tax us until 2048 to pay for them.
SANDAG’s finance plan states, "Charging fees for the transportation infrastructure that people use—for example, charging users for each mile they drive on the highway—can change travel behavior."

Government is supposed to serve the people. This is government forcing people to serve government.
Klaus Schwab and his World Enslavement Forum have issued their orders
It’s a damn crime that leftism has ruined California, which was always a dream place to live and prosper. San Diego held out for a while but I guess that’s over.
Elections have consequences.
Sadly, too many of those that voted for this crap, move someplace else and set about destroying the next place.
It would be nice if Red State governments passed a bill: if you’re a Democrat(you have to show your voter registration) moving from a Blue State or area that your voting patterns helped destroy, you cannot vote in this district for 10 years and you pay double the taxes(school, property, etc) that everyone else pays and at the end of those 10 years, your taxes are cut by just 25%.
If you don’t show your voting registration, you can’t vote for 15 years, taxes are tripled and go down by 15% at the end of those 15 years.
That would end the liberal invasions taking place all over the country.
To Serve Man
I guess it depends on what is really meant by serving, isn’t it?
Seems they have plans
Getting mugged on mass transit is a good thing for the peons.
They need to get used to it!
:-(
Impossible...impossible I tell you! Our government would never force us into things we don’t want!

Out of control government is out of control.
“Whoever voted for this crap can enjoy it.”
They will. They’ll be loving it, bathing in their virtue, right up until they can no longer afford to drive their own car. Then, it will be the Republican’s fault for not making EVs plentiful and affordable.
We are dealing with stupid on an epic scale.
They are pushing us into a corner and expecting us to retaliate...
I see I have a friend in San Diego area I need to discuss MOVING out of state completely.
Orange County is fallen. San Diego County is fallen. Sure they still elect some republicans, but that’ll change in a few more years. Santa Clara, San Mateo, Contra Costa, San Joaquin, Solano counties, etc all followed this course
This is where all the big population centers are going. Eventually they’ll boxcar everyone and they’ll be at the mercy of public transportation...Instead of taking your own comfortable car, you’ll be jammed in with violent misfits, homeless mental cases and assorted criminals.
Man I thought San Diego was red!! who knew?
The local bus agency gets about 10% of its funding from fares and the rest from local taxes and state and federal subsidies. If people were charged for what they use them each bus ride would have a $20 fare.
Sadly, too many of those that voted for this crap, move someplace else and set about destroying the next place.

Election steal deniers favorite narrative.

What the gubmint does to us — more correctly, what we ALLOW them to do to us — is less “serving” and more like “servicing”.
In the animal husbandry sense of the term.
