All of this about casualties is simply Russian propaganda. There is no real data to be had.
The Ukrainian official estimates of Russian casualties is also propaganda btw. Neither side is in a position to make accurate estimates of the other sides losses. And if they were, they would inflate them.

Poland is not to be messed with. They have proved their bravery over and over during this conflict and may actually be one of the strongest NATO members. Ukraine will forever be in their debt.

That was in 2003-5.
Later they started taking armor OFF, as it was overloading the Humvees. Later yet they started deploying MRAPS, with lots of armor. Later yet (now) they have been disposing of MRAPS as unnecessary.
Thats why a lot of surplus MRAPS have been donated to Ukraine, along with obsolete M113’s and Humvees.
Things change.

The thing is that they are different kind of beast but they are rugged multifueled, engine is easy to swap and just like most everything else they would be sent to poland for repair. There are lots of spare parts in Europe
I believe that the Abrams uses different types of fuel for it’s turbines (jet, diesel, gas) so it’s actually ideal for battle in the Ukraine. I do agree that aside from protecting some combat boots it may not be as strategically significant as some think. I do know that if I’m clearing out a village I would prefer to have a hunk of metal protecting my nuts.
You should get a letter off to all of the 100s of “armchair generals” and dozens of militaries making these decisions.
Also, drop a note to the Russians and let their (armchair/non-armchair?) generals know how easy this will be to take care of.
Russia is still dangerous and predatory and this our opportunity to end its predatory ways now and hopefully forever. It does not seem to make any difference who runs it or what ideology it spins the more things change with them the more they stay the same. We thought it was over when Communism ended but it has not.
Baloney, their Army has been 10% of the size it was during the Fulda Gap days. All of their wars have been local rumbles on their borders and assisting Syria from our attack overthrown operation with our “moderate rebels”. Meanwhile we have prowled the world looking for fights and knocking off governments anytime we please.

I'm just relaying that the ISIS "JV team" was able to defeat them. No guarantees that Ukraine will be any more capable with them. It takes time to train personnel how to use them effectively. Will they all arrive in battle ready shape to be put into service immediately, or are they coming out of a mothball state of some sort? Will they arrive with spare parts to repair them? Will they have people trained on repairing them?
Receiving just tanks is one thing. Being able to use them effectively & maintain them is quite another matter.
Russia is logistically in a better position, and they also do no need to get their armament or munitions from someone else either.
How will Ukraine be supplied the munitions? Will they receive them in drips & drabs, or will there be a steady stream? The fact that they are receiving many different types of tanks is another issue also. Because then you have to train operators & mechanics for specific tanks.
We will see how it goes, but receiving the tanks is not an end all that is completely a positive.

Methinks that horse is out of the barn, down the street, and around the corner.
Ukraine has been using its own tanks, in large numbers, in combat, for a year now.
And under the actual conditions of war in its theater, against the same opponent.
They have plenty of experience in using tanks in attack and defense.
And I doubt very much that they are newbies in re logistics and maintenance, seeing as they have kept 1000+ tanks in the field, in combat. And they have generations of experience doing the same in peacetime. These tanks are different in detail, but the same skills and knowledge apply.
