As it is they are still getting Russian gas through intermediaries, jacking up its price. If NATO goes to war against Russia directly, Putin could pull back exports screwing Western economies further.
The bigger issue though is Russia is now accepting alternative payments outside the dollar, and Saudi Arabia is about to do the same thing. As the US petro-dollar crumbles, so will the value of the dollar. If you think inflation is bad now, well you haven’t seen nothing yet.
