What should you wear to work if you’re nonbinary?
It may not be the most pressing question that gender-nonconforming people face on the job, but with approximately 1.2 million LGBTQ+ Americans identifying as nonbinary, employers and employees alike are exploring what professional attire can look like.
“I think people treat me with more dignity when I dress more masculinely, but people are way nicer to me when I dress more femininely,” said El Layla Johnson, 33, a former restaurant server who is now a therapist.
For Johnson, getting dressed for work has been a struggle since adolescence.
“I just feel like there’s a manual or rule book that people receive and that my copy got lost in the mail,” Johnson said.
Johnson recalled regularly crying while getting dressed for work at an upscale restaurant in Seattle. It wasn’t just that they found the restaurant’s dress code to be ugly. Johnson had a hard time finding clothes that fit at all.

Good morning. Happy Friday Eve!
We’re supposed to get lows of -8 fs tomorrow. That’s very unusual for here.
We’re going to accept the offer from CarMax. We could get more selling it direct to the buyer, but the offer was good enough. Now to get the paperwork together and here within 7 days.
Back from the brink. But another word where I got the first 3 letters and had to figure out the rest.

Good morning. Did you have a good night?
Jake was on your phone again, wreaking havoc in my nighttime.
FS was really tired by the time he got to where he was going to spend the night, but he called me after he had had a nap. He’s glad the job is over with and said the guy had originally expected him to work two weeks, including Sunday. What??? Work thirteen days straight? I don’t think so.
Anyway, he’s chosen a route that is north of the ice storms, since he’s pulling his work trailer, and will be home late this afternoon. It will be good to have him home again.
Congratulations on the sale (almost) of the car!
Looks like another toughie on the game front today. But you made it!
Happy Ground Hog Day, Wordle Players!
I don’t know if I want to see Moe the Marmot or not. (Talk about culture appropriation. I wonder that the Germans never got mad at us for borrowing their tradition.)

Last night I drempt I was dreaming. Was I dreaming or only dreaming was dreaming?
Good morning. Jake was in bed with me when he wasn’t texting you. It’s drizzly here today, but not freezing. I’m glad your son is okay. He should get a contract in writing in advance before he does something like this again!
I have a phone call with Steve this morning, and Kathleen has a riding lesson in the afternoon. Other than that, our task is getting ready for Envirothon tomorrow.
A theoretical question: If one repeats every Groundhog Day, does the Wordle box change each time if it is set to a random generator squiggle?
Things are just frozen solid, here.
I don’t think FS will do something like this again. I had mentioned about “something in writing” before he left but he felt it wasn’t necessary. And PW, who is normally right on top of things legally, missed it. For whatever reason.
He said he only did the job because “they were friends” of his. All the more reason to get it in writing.
I was getting dressed a while ago, and I heard the emergency alarm for this building start to clang. Next thing I know, the doorbell rings and I’m still not completely dressed. One of the neighbors saw my porchlight, thought it was the emergency light that tells which apartment is affected by the emergency, and didn’t realize it’s been on constantly since the day I moved in. Good thing, too, because two security lights are out.
Anyway, it was the woman from the Bahamas. She’s moving out, getting married and moving to Mississippi. I guess she didn’t realize she had pulled the emergency cord in either the bathroom or the bedroom.
This place is strange. I mean, wasn’t she curious? I usually go outside to see which apartment is affected, but I was half-nekkid, so I opted to stay put and continue to get dressed. When I was dressed, I would have gone out, but I wasn’t even close. The doorbell made me throw on my thin robe and go answer it. Then I stepped outside — thin robe and stockinged feet. Unngh.
Oh, golly, Rob’t! You’ll have to ask the script writers that question!
I hope your call with Steve is productive and that Kathleen’s riding lesson goes well.
Also, good luck on Envirothon for tomorrow!
According to the Canon rules of disorder, no.
The reset is a reset, and Phil is the focus of it.
Thanks, Bob! I knew I should have asked you, right off. You know that stuff! And I, for one, am very glad!
Wear a look of utter confusion and insanity, because you are self-confused and literally insane. A gorilla mask would help too.
Those italian fra-gi-le crates are kinda expensive. LoL
That may be who Klaus tries to emulate sometimes
LOL, I saw him wearing worse. (If the image is real)
Wordle doesn’t upset my day. Finding out the police report blamed my daughter for the accident, which I can’t imagine was her fault, upsets my day.
Right now I’m trying now not to chew the screen.
Kathleen’s lesson, it turns out, will be rescheduled. It’s too muddy today.
Oh, crikey! How could.... Never mind. You’ve been through all that. Let me guess: The tags on her car are not from the same state you live in, right?
Bingo. Out-of-state driver = guilty.
Is there any way to appeal it? Simply? Probably, but probably not simply. I’m sorry ArGee, and especially for your daughter whose record this will be on.
That’s probably better. Even horses don’t like to slog through mud.
