Good morning. Jake was in bed with me when he wasn’t texting you. It’s drizzly here today, but not freezing. I’m glad your son is okay. He should get a contract in writing in advance before he does something like this again!
I have a phone call with Steve this morning, and Kathleen has a riding lesson in the afternoon. Other than that, our task is getting ready for Envirothon tomorrow.
Things are just frozen solid, here.
I don’t think FS will do something like this again. I had mentioned about “something in writing” before he left but he felt it wasn’t necessary. And PW, who is normally right on top of things legally, missed it. For whatever reason.
He said he only did the job because “they were friends” of his. All the more reason to get it in writing.
I was getting dressed a while ago, and I heard the emergency alarm for this building start to clang. Next thing I know, the doorbell rings and I’m still not completely dressed. One of the neighbors saw my porchlight, thought it was the emergency light that tells which apartment is affected by the emergency, and didn’t realize it’s been on constantly since the day I moved in. Good thing, too, because two security lights are out.
Anyway, it was the woman from the Bahamas. She’s moving out, getting married and moving to Mississippi. I guess she didn’t realize she had pulled the emergency cord in either the bathroom or the bedroom.
This place is strange. I mean, wasn’t she curious? I usually go outside to see which apartment is affected, but I was half-nekkid, so I opted to stay put and continue to get dressed. When I was dressed, I would have gone out, but I wasn’t even close. The doorbell made me throw on my thin robe and go answer it. Then I stepped outside — thin robe and stockinged feet. Unngh.
I hope your call with Steve is productive and that Kathleen’s riding lesson goes well.
Also, good luck on Envirothon for tomorrow!
