Yep about race. Yep, to be used as a political tool against all the unfeeling, mean, bad orange-man clones voting in the latest Congress in future elections.

Let’s also run a commission to pay the families of 700,000 men who died setting the slaves free.

They didn't die for that reason. They died to secure the power of corrupt Washington DC to control the economic power of all the states, even against their will.

They died for tyranny, not for freedom.

To address the fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery in the United States and the 13 American colonies between 1619...

Not that the crazy lady had much credibility to begin with, but invoking the fictional "1619 Report" makes this a total piece of trash.

Hopefully, McCarthy will place this in the "Round File" post haste.

I’d say the Civil War suffices.

Obama....

True.

We gave at the office. The Oval Office.
True white supremacist racists would never have voted him there for two terms. Not guilty.

That’s exactly right.

The United States should not pay reparations on behalf of the King of England. These reparations should be paid by Britain herself.

Ok. Reparations will be charged from all living slave dealers and slave holders from the era.

Kamala Harris will be exempt because it was her great grandparents who dealt slaves from Africa through Jamaica. Not her.

“In 2018, Donald Harris, a Stanford University emeritus professor of economics, detailed his family’s history in Jamaica in an essay in Jamaica Global Online.”

“There is no mention in his essay of having Indian ancestry, and he makes clear his family has been in Jamaica for generations. The elder Harris does write that his paternal grandmother descended from a slave owner.”

Apologize to whom for what?

No slaves or slave holders from America are living.

According to many online sources, I-phones are slave-produced goods.

Perhaps a national apology to the Uyghurs might be in order.

So we can we go back and unfight the Civil War and get our 600,000 honored dead back if this passes?
And how about the trillions in social welfare spending?
Can we get that back as well?
Ungrateful ba$tards

How about slapping some sanctions on China for enslaving, raping, slaughtering and organ-harvesting Uighers. Too busy playing footsy with Xi Jinpig for that?

Hard to believe you haven't been challenged yet. I think I am more inclined to believe your viewpoint even tho my Great Grandfather who survived the Civil war as a Union Officer would probably be disappointed in me.
