Frankly, I would like to see that done for historical purposes.
Because the Democrats impeached for historical purposes. They were just itching to impeach for SOMETHING. Only Democrat presidents had been impeached (Nixon resigned) and that stuck in their craw!
And so they impeached Trump TWICE! So Trump is now the only Republican president to be impeached and the ONLY president to be impeached TWICE. That’s their historical talking point.
So yes, I’d like to see them both fully expunged, because they were both totally political (as was Johnson’s and Clinton’s and Nixon’s would have been). But not to the point where they were looking for something to impeach for even before the president was sworn in.

IMHO, nothing has begun until something other than words actually happens.
All talk, all bluster..
Action is what will indicate to me payback has begun..
Many of Trump’s endorsement that he counts as “victories” were in House districts / Senate races where the constituencies are solid red and were never in question. Trump’s endorsements in Senate races that were actually up for grabs (PA, GA, AZ, AK, NV) were all losers, and the main reason those candidates lost were due to candidate quality, IMHO. More moderate candidates would have won independent voters and still been solid Republican votes in the Senate.
