Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has congratulated Republican politician Kevin McCarthy on becoming Speaker of the House of Representatives, telling him Ukraine is counting on his “continued support” and more U.S. aid.
“Congratulations to [Kevin McCarrthy] on his election as the Speaker of the [United States] House of Representatives,” Zelensky wrote on social media. U.S. support in all fields has been vital for [Ukraine’s] success on the battlefield. We’re counting on your continued support and further U.S. assistance to bring our common victory closer,” he added.

All of theses stories about how the Ukraine needs our money but never an accounting for how it’s being spent or even where it ends up. Is this sound fiscal policy?

Humanitarian aid only. The elites supporting the Ukraine militarily are worse than the Russians, spreading communism, sexual deviancy, and the green wrecking machine worldwide. And Russians fighting in their own backyard are no threat to us.
The neoCON Russo-phobes will gladly comply! Toss in an extra $20 billion too! All while the invasion at the Southern Border is completely unchecked! Not 1 dime for security at the southern border, but just like G W MORON, we will spend trillions defending borders on the other side of the world!

Yes, Eisenhower clearly stated NATO was only a ten-year deal.
I recall the I like Ike pin on buttons on many even in NY in the early 50’s. We have given billions to this disgrace of a man who shows up in our congress in the same clothes he wears every day. I cannot believe he has not taken a lot of our money.
And here lies one of the problems with McCarthy - he appears to be one of those who unconditionally support Ukraine and Zelensky . . .

I’d be happy to see all foreign aid end. Maybe if a country has a terrible earthquake we could help them out a bit, but otherwise we shouldn’t send them any money
Yes McCarthy keep the cash flowing, the Big Guy is counting on his 10%.
There is NO incentive for our government to cut spending (including the bloated bureaucracy). The tax code and spending need a dramatic overhaul, and no long term planning to carefully make this happen. There’s a lack of rational adult patriots in government who love our country more than simply getting re-elected.

I concur - send bandages, blankets, medicine, etc only. Bullets and bombs should come from the EU. Of course the M/I Complex would love to see a big conventional weapons war - great for profits. Until of course the time that Pootie drops a nuke on a M/I munitions factory ...
