Did McCarthy make a deal to get enough support either from the 20-21 hold out Republicans to become Speaker, or to get the Dems to vote present, or not vote, such that he might become Speaker underhandedly?
Will Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) again nominate President Donald John Trump, the rightful President of the United States, to be Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, such that he might return as POTUS after a successful petition for writ of quo warranto to remove Slow Joe and the Ho?
Do the Dems have a token white Congresscritter to nominate Jeffries to show they are a party of ethnic diversity?

I would not bet the farm on it. A liar is a liar. The only question is, how long will he wait before he puts the screws to us. With friends like McCarthy, one does not need enemies.
My very first time in 50+ years I did not vote in 2022, I felt so guilty after NEVER having missed and election EVER!! I have given thousands of hours of my time worked hard for our candidates, held my nose and voted for these RINOS, when Trump ran I COULD NOT WAIT to vote I was so excited, we gave him the house, the senate, and the WH, OMG I could not stop smiling!! What the hell did we get from OUR SIDE we got the middle finger, we got them BLOCKING our own POTUS at every damn turn, we got them doing EVERYTHING to cover up fraud in the 2020 election!! We got them saying NOTHING to back us up about Jan. 6, we have political prisoners in this country NOW and these BASTARDS just sit on their hands!!! THEN to just put the icing on the cake these BASTARDS have bent over backwards to make sure Biden’s agenda was successful at every turn, have DONE NOTHING to prevent the border situation and the complete change of demographics of our nation!! NOW they fold like lawn chairs AGAIN and instal McCarthy as speaker just ANOTHER BETRAYAL!! I could not be MORE DONE I would like to SPIT on every damn one of them!!
Here is a short list of what Trump accomplished. Note Trump's accomplishments were Anti Globalists:
Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;
Inflation about 1.4%, mortgage rates were half of what they are now;
Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery until January 22, 2021;
Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
Trump renegotiated NAFTA and successfully negotiated the USMCA and got it passed by the Senate;
No war in Ukraine, no threat of nuclear war, NATO paid its way;
China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
US companies were bringing home the jobs due to well executed tax treatments;
Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and Iran was isolated;
Got three non-left “I don't know what a woman is” Supreme Court Justices on the bench allowing Roe vs Wade to be overturned;
Massive bureaucratic deregulation; and
Finally, Trump got control of the southern border with clever and successful negotiations with Mexico.
Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated by Obama's Weaponized Agencies? Democrats and RINOs (McConnell/McCarthy) support and promote “Americans Last” policies. They are the true “Deplorables”.
So many are pooh-poohing Trump, but dang he worked hard for Americans First.
I was hoping the 20 would grow, not shrink.
Just goes to show how many true Conservatives we have in
the House.
I too have a nephew and niece that are liberal(Liberal Mother-Moderate Father)
I cast my very first vote ever at 19 or 20 for Ronald Reagan.(The election he won)
Sad to see what this Country has become.
So sad. But true.
They don’t have a choice. Its either McCarthy or Scalise. Nobody else can get to 218 because most Republican representatives are RINOs. Sad but there you have it. Wringing rule changes out of McCarthy and written agreement to put conservatives on key committees is the best they’re going to get.

Absolutely...The embarrassment, foolishness, futility etc. of the last twelve votes are centered on your observation...The holdouts have not been the problem .The fact that only twenty have sent a message to the country that conservatives are not bots to be ruled by a socialist witch like Pelosi or by a jellyfish like McCarthy is the trouble at hand.

HEY GG it will be a cold day in hell before this SCUM McCarthy follows ANY of these changes he is bought and paid for by the lobbyists, just like these endless investigations we will have will NEVER result in consequences so WHY waste our money same old, same old………SPIT!!!
Hasn't it occurred to you by now that the elected Republicans ARE THE REAL REPUBLICANS, and that if you are still chasing the dream of turning the GOP into something it isn't and never will be, that it's YOU who is the "RINO"?
