Former Fox Business host and conservative pundit Lou Dobbs blasted former President Trump for throwing his support behind Republican leader Kevin McCarthy’s bid for House Speaker.
“Trump dismisses the 20 patriots challenging RINO McCarthy-says McCarthy will do “good” job-and tells them effectively to do what Swamp and Corporate Globalists order: Trump Backs RINOs and Swamp,” Dobbs wrote in a tweet on Wednesday morning.
The pundit was responding to a call from Trump for all Republicans in the House to vote for McCarthy for Speaker, after he failed on Tuesday three times to secure enough votes to win the top spot.
“REPUBLICANS, DO NOT TURN A GREAT TRIUMPH INTO A GIANT & EMBARRASSING DEFEAT. IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE, YOU DESERVE IT. Kevin McCarthy will do a good job, and maybe even a GREAT JOB – JUST WATCH!” Trump said in a social media post early Wednesday morning.
Dobbs, a Trump loyalist during his time in the White House, also criticized Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who has voiced support for McCarthy and criticized hard-line Republicans in the House who have stood in the way of his Speakership bid.
“MTG is an unprincipled sell-out — and applauds President Trump as he disappoints his millions of supporters by aligning with the RINOs who’ve collaborated with the Marxist Dems and Deep State trying to destroy him,” Dobbs said of the conservative congresswoman who is also a leading supporter of Trump. “These 20 Congressmen deserve all our thanks, respect and support!”
Yeah, well, there’s a lot of us angry people out here. You’re not angry? You’re okay with what is being done to our nation, our society, our families, our faith? You okay with that?

Yes I agree, establishment GOPe is definitely reluctant to take on the concerns of the working class for fear of losing their big money donors.

In the real world, giving people that he didn't know the benefit of the doubt by hiring them, while being able to fire incompetent people at will, helped Trump to build his very successful business imo.
Same thing as when ordinary voters elect federal senators that they don't really know.

Rep. Norman from SC was just on War Room. He said/strongly implied that the group of 20 has increased in number.
And Bannon just said there’s a rumor that they might not vote again until tomorrow. Will convene at noon today and immediately adjourn.

Trump’s doubling down couldn’t be any more poorly timed, if it’s true McCarthy is now going to try to turn tail and suspend any voting today, because the numbers against him are going up.
You said in 8 that McCarthy had the most votes. He didn’t. I simply pointed out Jefferies at this point does. But if you’re suggesting the highest vote getter should get it,!then Jefferies would have the gavel.
Trump’s #1 problem is trusting who he knows; unfortunately Trump hasn’t been a conservative long enough to know which Republicans he knows are the RINO’s.

Maybe Trump really knows something about McCarthy, and not just thinks that he knows, but his track record for picking true horses isn’t good.

Trump was surrounded by Snakes in the White House.
He does have that record of trusting snakes. He may be hoping for a big political favor after 2024 re-election, but I guess he needs another object lesson that a RINO is what he is, scales and all.
I can’t wait til it’s over and they can get to work. At least two impeachments for the border and afghanistan withdrawal is all I ask from this splintered group of politicians.
