U.S. Driver of Tesla that plunged off California cliff charged with attempted murder and child abuse

California officials have charged the driver of a Tesla that plummeted over 250 feet off a San Mateo highway with attempted murder and child abuse.

Dharmesh A. Patel, of Pasadena, California, was driving the vehicle when it went over the side of a coastal road at a spot known as the Devil's Slide. Also inside were one other adult and two children, who have not been identified. All four survived the crash and were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Charging documents show that the other adult was a 41-year-old woman, and the two children were a girl, aged 7, and a boy, aged 4.....

the vehicle appears to have flipped several times before becoming wedged into rocks just feet from the surfline, the children were rescued thru the back windows and the adult passengers required jaws of life extraction.

So when Dharmesh A. Patel allegedly attempted a murder / suicide by driving off the cliff with a woman, 4 year old girl, 9 year old boy, few had hope. Just one problem with Patel's plan: He was in a Tesla

Yeah, Teslas are at the very top of crash safety ratings. Supposedly the Tesla Truck is even better. Shame they are electric cars, but you can’t have everything!

Given the above, and their charging him with attempted murder, whatever was going on in that car must have been recorded, either by someone’s phone or the car, and either intentionally recorde, or not.

I make it a policy.....I don’t drive on roads with cliffs unless I am driving. Just a policy I have.

HE was speeding...and where he went off had no guard rails either.......some have mentioned about the only way a man would take the life of his family was if she was cheating on him....or too far in debt...or both.
