People are coming out of the pandemic being diagnosed with “coronaphobia” and post-traumatic stress disorders.

I call it "pandemic paranoia".

There should be a new DSM entry for “Forgot how to use their damn brain”

Seriously...I’m non-vaxxed, skirted the COVID up until two weeks ago, came down with it, started on the horse paste, felt better almost immediately...over it completely a few days later.

Reminds me...I need to hit Tractor Supply this week to re-up the horse paste supply.

My wife and I had a mild case of Covid during the Omicron phase. I assumed that it would evolve into a more and more benign pathogen.

Unfortunately, we came down with a much more virulent strain slightly before Christmas and are still not over it. This is as bad an upper respiratory infection as either of us has ever had. Every day we think we will be doing better the next, but this thing has really been a pain this year.

This pathogen which is now endemic is going to continuing to evolve and going through ebbs and flows in the future. Even though my wife is a retired nurse and I spent my career working in emergency medical... we have completely lost our faith in public health services.

“...poorly managed public health crisis...”

It was not a health crisis, it was an attack. One nobody could ever prepare for. And China knew that and still don’t care how many they lose.

"3. Loss of Trust in Public Health"

No kidding. You'd think that CDC would hit "pause" after the beating they've taken, but nope, it's pedal to the metal. The latest from CDC is horrific and bound to further destroy trust in that institution (IF people find out about it):

CDC Pushes Teachers to Measure Commitment to ‘LGBTQ Inclusivity’ Instruction

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued an “assessment tool” for teachers and school administrators to measure their commitment to “LGBTQ inclusivity” in their classrooms.

The tool asks leading questions about school personnel and their faithfulness to queer theory, including encouraging sexual education teachers to have gender neutral anatomy, referring to boys as “body with a penis” and girls as “body with a vagina.”

It pushes advocacy, membership in a school’s “Gay/Straight Alliance,” the social transitioning of children including use of facilities of the opposite sex, and decorating classrooms with LGBT propaganda.

I had my moment when my doctor told me to follow CDC guidelines when I asked him about the protocols developed by many doctors worldwide (quercetin, zinc, melatonin, NAC, etc.).

“People are now looking back on the COVID-19 pandemic as a poorly managed public health crisis..”

It was always a MANUFACTURED public health crisis.

We’ve had one EVERY SINGLE year… bird flu, Ebola, H1N1… etc…

THIS one, they decided to see how far they could push the public. And they got away with it. They got away with murder.

They’ll surely “improve” on the next one..

I was at the next town over Walmart for a most unpleasant trip in to the city for provisions. Almost HALF of the people were in masks.

IMO, there could have been a good outcome from this crap. If they'd just harped a bit on the whole "wash your hands frequently" thing, and "Don't freaking go out or to work if your sick", we all would have benefited from it.

Those two things would have reduced the likelihood of transmission for just about any communicable disease. None of the rest did anything but destroy people's lives and livelihoods.

Instead, they demanded we be controlled like good little sheep because they never miss an opportunity to expand government power.

Let’s simply stop incentivizing people to go to school/work when sick by:

1) Eliminating “perfect attendance” awards.

2) Ending combined PTO (lose vacation by taking sick days)

3) Dinging employees on annual reviews for using sick days.

"Change how people think about (public) health,"
It has changed everything I used to believe about what my American government told me about everything. I've come to the conclusion that my government really wants me and most other American citizens dead (for the planet's health, of course)..

Wash you hands, and don’t go to school or work if sick is common sense and has been. No need to harp on it.

“Why not the tablets?”

I haven’t checked prices on those lately. .is there someplace to buy them cheap? The paste is readily available locally...and reasonably priced.
