Top Republican Pollsters Say ‘Don’t Be Fooled, Trump Strong As Ever’
American Lookout ^ | December 24, 2022 | Mike LaChance

If you listen to the liberal media, you would probably think that Trump is out, and down for the count.

Two top Republican pollsters are saying this is flatly untrue.

This isn’t a knock at Ron DeSantis or any other Republican, just a glimpse of where things are right now.

The Washington Examiner reports:

Don’t be fooled, Trump ‘strong as ever,’ say top pollsters

You’ve seen the polls, in Secrets and elsewhere, touting the emergence of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and others challenging former President Donald Trump, the only Republican who has announced a bid for the 2024 GOP primary so far.

They come at a time when the former president is under fire in many corners but still standing and punching back.

Now two of the nation’s leading Republican pollsters who have strong ties to Trump are explaining why he remains “as strong as ever” to take the nomination and beat President Joe Biden.

John and Jim McLaughlin, who run McLaughlin & Associates, recently released their poll that shows the former president ahead of DeSantis 48%-23%, just as popular as he was on Election Day last month, and leading Biden 48%-45%.

Here at Secrets, we write a lot about polls and have highlighted many about the DeSantis surge, especially after his blockbuster reelection last month. While it’s still over a year before the first caucus or primary, they all give a suggestion for how the candidates are doing among voters but shouldn’t be taken as the last word.

What’s different about the McLaughlin poll, John McLaughlin told us, is that it is tougher with the sample it uses. It tries to whittle down its sample to those most likely to vote instead of a bigger vat that may include some who’ve never voted.

McLaughlin tries to stay away from anti-Trump bias in many media polls. And finally, it replicates the Democrat-to-Republican percentage of more recent elections.

The 2024 election is a long way off and things could change at any time.

We are all just going to have to wait and see.

THen next time you are in the carribean get a few strings of pearls and practice clutching them.

Donald Trump does not conform to status quo political technique and strategy.ANY GOPer who does will succumb to the deep state or lose the battle for freedom.Innovation is necessary. Watch it happen.

nd thats why he wins....repeatedly.

But I do trust my gut.

Same here.

AZ, GA, WI, MI, PA. Which of these states does Trump flip? And he needs to flip at least three of them.

And he's toxic in four of them.

It’s not Trump’s fault that 1/4 or 1/3 of GOP voters prefer Marxism to MAGA. He just provided the sunlight that showed the world how dysfunctional the GOP is. There are two diametrically opposed political agendas in the GOP and the the two shall not meet. You’re either for open borders or against it. Etc.

And how did the GOPe thank the base for many decades of GOP party line ticket voting? They colluded with Democrats to steal Trump’s term in office and disenfranchise us all. GOP needs to clean up its own mess before blaming Trump.

Trump is just a lightning rod!

He is just the part of the giant iceberg of grievances that the Tea Party (mostly American Middle Class **!) have against the Elite\Governing class. If it wasn’t Trump it would be somebody else. What makes Trump unique is he doesn’t need this, he’s not a professional politician, so he could walk away anytime, A professional politician since their food, shelter, clothing, etc. will always be under pressure to cave to the political establishment. He also puts to the lie that the “professional politician class” brings anything special to the table in governing. In their “Elites, etc.” minds for that alone he has to be stopped.

If he’s stopped the “Tea Party” grievances till remain. They are independent of Trump. I would like to see Trump to continue to carry the “ball”. He needs to reign in his ego and stopping fighting himself. He has enough enemies he doesn’t need to add himself to the list.

However, the “ball” is more important than Trump.

** I include labor\working class (I hate using semi-Marxist terms) in the Middle-Class category.

Bull. DeSantis wins AZ and GA easily, states are that are desperate to vote for Republicans, just not "Trumpy" ones.

Additionally, he takes a page from Glenn Youngkin's playbook and flips VA. DeSantis' pro-parental rights policies are popular in VA, as Youngkin Demonstrated.

That's 272 electoral votes and the keys to the White House.

I can understand your animosity, but It doesn’t matter if we like Trump or not. There’ll never be another unstolen election in this country. Dems have too much of a headstart in the cheating processes, the Republicans are stupid or complicit...or both...the kids being raised nowadays believe socialism is the THING, the global climate change weapon is just that...a weapon to subjugate people. We’re being steamrolled into slavery and we’re not fighting back to any significant degree. The only thing missing so far are the cattle cars.

We are screwed.

Pull your head out of the ground.

DeSantis is the Globalist / Establishment choice.

That, coupled with him being seen as a Traitor to President Trump, would guarantee a completely soft turn-out by the base.

There is no path to the White House for DeSanctimonious in 2024, unless President Trump endorses him.

DeSantis is the Globalist / Establishment choice.

As I've said before, it's so entertaining when people like you call the man who took on Disney, the woke school boards, homosexual indoctrination of children, shipped illegals to Martha's Vineyard, only to be re-elected in a massive landslide as the "RINO candidate."

Meanwhile, the guy who handed the country over to Dr. Fauci, filled his administration with Deep State swamp creatures, mailed everyone "free" money, banned guns by executive order, endorsed Stacey Abrams for governor, and now throws gay parties at Mar-A-Lago is somehow the "Washington outsider who will drain the swamp."

There is no path to the White House for DeSanctimonious in 2024, unless President Trump endorses him.

Tell that to Brian Kemp. Even after Trump ridiculously, stupidly endorsed Stacey Abrams for governor, Georgia's MAGA voters ignored him, licked their wounds, and came on board with Kemp for the Big Win.

They'll do the same for DeSantis, whether or not Trump endorses him.

“ DeSantis wins AZ and GA easily,”

If the commies that run elections in those 2 states are not removed (and they won’t be) then he can’t.

Well, I stopped voting anyway, so it doesn’t really matter who they nominate on either side. We don’t have elections anymore. No such thing, so I’m not going to waste my time voting for people ina party that just turn around and crap on us anyway. Thing is, Trump is no different. Oh, he’s fighting the deep state. Not really. All he cares about is legacy and bragging rights. He, just lie the others, doesn’t give a crap about you, or me, or the rest of America. This country doesn’t get better until it falls hard. There is no fixing, only a bitter end to this experiment.
