"The Republican Party of 1912 decided it would be better off renominating William Howard Taft, even though its voters would have preferred another Roosevelt term. The resulting split ushered in Woodrow Wilson and the first academic globalists, whose bright ideas laid the groundwork for a second world war on the eve of the conclusion of the first. ...
But, despite the obvious differences, we’re heading for a 1912-repeat, in which the Republican Party ignores its own voters. The Republican machine has no intention of letting us choose Trump again: He is not a uniparty team player. They’d rather lose an election to the Democrats, their brothers in crime, than win with Trump.
That leads us to the inevitable question: What should we do when a majority of Republicans want Trump, but the Republican Party says we can’t have him?"

1. The real question is whether they see a difference between DeSantis and the rest of the bucket full of Republicans who have been peddled by the DC establishment over the last 20+ years. The answer to that is NO.
2. Let me know when a Democrat committee in Congress votes to release DeSantis' tax returns. The fact that they've never even hinted at doing this is all you need to know about how they see him.
Well since you asked:
It's the lisp that gives you away. That and the stolen ladies' luggage.
You live la-la land if you think a vote for president is important. No one not controlled by Democrats will win the presidency.
Who do they vote for in 2024 if Trump loses the primary and the winner is DeSantis? My position is clear. I will vote for either if they win the primary. If they can't answer the same then they are no Conservative.
It is so quaint to read this thread and see all the people talking as if they weren’t living in a fascist Government Class Oligarchy. As if performing their “civic duty” (so 1950’s) at election time made a difference. It just goes to show that the evidence in front of your face just can’t beat the sweet (or even semi-sweet) lies whispered in your ears. Eve could tell you all about it.
I have no reason to fight with you, albeit your responses are homocentric, but I will admit that the little touch about ‘ladies luggage’, now that was just funny!
I agree.
Your position is the only mature one for 2024.
I’ll stick with President Trump. If the country goes down, it will be the fault of everyone who votes for someone else in 2024.
Re: 104 - The US (and FR) are a very different place. There are an increasing number of FReepers that simply cannot articulate and defend a position without racial slurs, personal insults and threats to other FReepers, etc. Props to the Mods for deleting those posts.
I hope we get back to some more discussion and less insults and threats. I’m not hopeful we will.
Saxon, I do know that unless we can somehow miraculously stop the election fraud that we will never win the Presidency again, however I refuse to allow the Dems and Satan to see me give up.
You may think that is silly. In fact, I suspect there will be quite a lot of you who will just quietly, and in weakness , give up and refuse to vote (some will even welcome their new masters). And in that case we most certainly will lose. And that will make the loss even worse.
What do you think would have happened if George Washington’s soldiers would have given up on that cold bitter winter and declared they had no chance to win?
Time will tell
What if Bull Moose wins?
Same as the last Trump term — both parties in congress hamstring him.
If Trump going third party, I hope he’ll have someone like Kari Lake as VP... Let’s expose the Deep State and I hope FReepers will get the message... and that Conservatives (even the minority in the Democrat Party) will vote America First, instead of globalist First...
I was educated in the California school system—Math was not something I picked up. But, I am happy to discover I will get to vote for Trump Two more times!
Hopefully, it won't come to that. And Trump does remain in the lead with GOP voters, even if that lead is starting to slip, particularly in the wake of the Trump NFT embarrassment. But, if it does, it seems Trump is ready to teach the Establishment a serious lesson in populist power, and that might end up being his greatest accomplishment of all.
This! It's so obvious. This is a shot across the bow!
Trump WANTED the “stimulus” spending! He urged MORE in 2020! That was not conservative nor wise. Just trying to buy votes.
The freeze on evictions OUGHT to be unconstitutional. It certainly is not in any way conservative.
He was good on a number of issues. As I said. I voted for him twice. I spent 2021 driving around with a Trump 2024 bumpersticker.
But he was NEVER very conservative. And he lost me on Election Night, when he boasted about what a great night HE had! Meanwhile, the Trump Slate of candidates in Arizona all went down to defeat - by margins ranging from a very tiny 500 votes to well over 100,000.
Then he started attacking DeSantis and anyone else he perceived as a threat and putting out tweets about ignoring the US Constitution. He won’t win the primary in Arizona, let alone the general election in 2024. And we cannot afford more losses!
So you became a Never Trumpet now?
No, but he doesn't enjoy my uncritical support anymore either. He's going to have to present a convincing case in the primaries as to why I should vote for him. Just like anybody else who runs.
