This is one of those stories that you’re certain is from the Babylon Bee, and that is stunning in its implications when it turns out to be the truth. In this case, the truth is that, in accordance with UN and WEF climate recommendations, the city of Oxford (home to the famed university) approved plans mandating that citizens may not drive more than 15 minutes distance from their homes without permission. It’s called the “15 Minute City” and is intended to reduce auto emissions. Mostly, though, it will reduce liberty, which is what climate change madness has always been about.

There’d be a lot less road congestion without all the 100s of millions of illegals that G W MORON and Obama let into the country clogging up our roads (and our schools, hospitals, etc.)
I’m actually kinda ok with keeping the hood rats contained in the big cities, but I’m still against restricting travel because it’s a fundamental freedom, hood rat or not, that is a God-given right.
Whitey will be stupid enough to obey. He has been effectively brainwashed so that civil disobedience, such as mass disobedience, destruction of filter stations, ‘crime’ spy systems is well its just awful, now there is a specific ethnicity who will flaunt this and every other sort of control. However, they are officially classed as a ‘socially friendly’ group and will be let do as they wish especially if they attack and keep whitey in his place.
The brits have always had a flirty fascination with fascism, despite a bit of unpleasantness with a German one. “Goose step along to get along, wot wot.”
Amazing times to be alive.
I’m actually thankful for it.
Blessings brother!
“So long as they (the Proles) continued to work and breed, their other activities were without importance. Left to themselves, like cattle turned loose upon the plains of Argentina, they had reverted to a style of life that appeared to be natural to them, a sort of ancestral pattern...Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer and above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult.”
― George Orwell, 1984
“Smart” cameras tracking movement.
Does any person whose mind is still functioning think this won’t come to the USA? Berkely, San Fran Freako, Portland first. Then New York and Boston.
Those cameras are already in place in the USA. We were told they were to “catch criminals.” No reasonable person can believe that.
The repressive measures put in place during the “pandemic” conditioned the folks to accept the totalitarian repression that the left has in store for us.
Dragging them behind on the end of a rope would be more fitting.
Note half of downtown New Haven CT is being reworked according to this plan. Drivers sit at additional lights & crosswalks, held hostage to pedestrian crossing buttons panhandlers operate like they’re tapping out morse code. And since pedestrian deaths keep going up they’re going to add more crosswalks and lights.
Begging for unintended consequences.
Well they voted for these Freaks
Is Inspector Morse exempt?!
not drive more than 15 minutes distance from their homes

So this is what those Lamborghinis are for.
The Lamborghini Diablo had a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph) and could reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 4.5 seconds.
15 minutes X 202 mph = 50.5 miles.
It will also ensure that their EV batteries don’t run out.
This is the “freedom” that the West is fighting for.
Like at the beginning of the Berlin Wall going up. You could still freely cross in and out of East Berlin. But then you could use only certain points. Then you needed passes. Then you couldn’t leave at all.
Surprisingly, I’m a bit mixed on this one.
I’m from the UK originally and usually disagree (violently!) with many things going on there that are anti-liberty.
That said, if the issue is an intolerable situation with LOCAL traffic congestion, I’m ok with methods to alleviate it. Encouraging efficient LOCAL travel is also ok (improving faster public bus transportation). Given the widely available methods of transportation over there I don’t see this as restricting ones movement - only HOW you get from A to B.
What I DO have a problem with, is this notion that “all the essentials you need will be within 15 minutes of where you live” and that this will “reduce the carbon footprint”. I don’t believe the government has the right to declare what is “essential”. We saw this during COVID business shutdowns. Who decides? It certainly shouldn’t be corrupt politicians. This also interferes with competition, as it is reduced, and what is in your best economic interests.
As for the “carbon footprint”, even if every city on the planet did this it would have no measurable or meaningful effect. This is just a garbage, virtue signaling, claim. Yet again, it’s never going to unfold exactly how the ‘clever’ politicians anticipate.
Even Pompeii had huge blocks of stone in their streets to keep chariots out.
I have read that ancient ROME banned chariots in the streets during the day.
Try that on Florida! Dare you?
