Arroyo reacted by saying Republicans have plenty of investigatory fodder, but they should tread lightly.
“Look, there’s a ton of things to investigate,” he began, before pivoting to a critique of McCarthy’s “Commitment to America” that he rolled out ahead of the midterms.
“It was so broad and vague, it was not a governing agenda,” Arroyo continued, noting he could not even remember the name of the document. “It didn’t have the specificity of, ‘We will do this, this, this.’ It just said, We’re gonna make you economically free, we’re gonna make you happier, we’re going to give you more independence.’ What does that mean legislatively? They never staked out that territory.”
He said McCarthy’s talk of committee hearings concerns him.
“I worry when I hear, ‘Our plan, when we get the power at last is just to investigate all of these things,’ that we [will] end up at Benghazi era where you have a lot of drama, a big show trial, and nothing,” he stated. “You remember that? Hillary Clinton sitting there getting grilled 11 hours and they got nothing. So I worry.”

Did the investigations against Reagan, Clinton, Obama and Trump hurt them that much? I can see the case being made either way.

The Left’s success is that they attack institutions and people that people normally don’t think about. They create issues and problems where there are none, with an underlying goal of changing that thing to their advantage.
As much of a slimeball that Hunter Biden and his father are, a series of “congressional investigations” will be like a long siege in front of a medieval castle.

I am frankly worn out of ALL these investigations with VERY STRONGLY WORDED LETTERS, not one damn consequence comes of any of it so why waste our time and money!!

It's because they aren't investigating, they are only making pre-determined headlines for marketing purposes. I'd prefer they actually investigate and let the chips fall where they may.

At one time impeachment was considered a very serious, important and pretty much last resort proceeding. Then came the idiot Republican “attempt” directed at Clinton. Since then it has been nothing but a political game of one upmanship.

From a Separation of Powers/Constitutional perspective, they are a tool to facilitate the legislative function.
They are supposed to improve the output.
Better or more salient or more appropriately expedient laws, including, and perhaps most significantly, better spending bills.

Don’t waste America’s time investigating Hunter if they are just going to sweep it under the rug anyways. The Biden crime family should be in jail but I doubt anything will come out of this investigation.
