President Trump loves backstabbers and traitors. He has a good instinct on policy, not so much on endorsements and appointments.

Individuals bear responsibility for their decisions.
Trump didn’t do anything wrong on January 6th.
This whole thing is a fiasco.

The media saying BLM riots were okay for the entire summer is the real reason for the capital “riot” and even that was small time compared to the summer of love because a criminal died of a fentanyl overdose.

Putting the fox in charge of the hen house is never a good idea.

After the protesters — the majority of whom were entirely peaceful — entered the building, Trump immediately issued a video statement urging them to leave.

Not sure exactly when they first entered the building, but Ashley Babbitt was shot at 2:44 p.m., which was at least a half hour after they had entered the building. Trump's video wasn't uploaded until 4:17. Two hours isn't "immediately" during a riot.

It’s true though, and I have no love for McCarthy. Trump did send out a very public plea for people to come to the capitol for Jan 6 protest.

That doesn’t mean he called for a riot. It just means what it means, that Trump does bear some responsibility for the days events.

McCarthy caused it because he didnt support President Trump in his fight to show evidence of voter fraud

McCarthy and the Republicans are acting like a bunch of kids sitting on the den floor fighting over toys while the house is being set on fire by Marxists.

Joe Biden and his owners bear ALL the responsibility for January 6th because they STOLE THE ELECTION right in front of all of us.

THEY and ONLY THEY bear all the responsibility.

Protesting a massive crime is not a crime itself.

He bears as much responsibility for the riotous behavior on Jan. 6th as the Dems do for the entire year of BLM riots and Antifa destruction. Not to mention the small portion of Portland that was taken over by Left-wing activists for month. When the Dems that are responsible for those things are investigated and punished in entirety, then fine....I’ll discuss Trump being investigated and punished. Until then...no deal.

Which puzzles me.

He needs to ignore his advisors even if they are family.

... that Trump does bear some responsibility for the day's events.

With that, you enable the Left's illogical "nose under the tent" approach to the issue.

Trump encouraged patriots to exercise their constitutional rights.

There is no rational basis for attaching 'responsibility" for an act that is entirely permissible, no atonement or further act is required.

In a sane world, given the evidence that was then of record, Trump's encouragement might have provided the R members of Congress the courage to return the Certificates to the States for further consideration. In which case, many would have applauded his action.

The Jan6 riot was a political device that intentionally interrupted that outcome.

I have little patience for the phrase “it’s not my fault”.
