Half of those time zones are pretty much empty. No one would waste ordnance on them except to take out an ICBM site.
Think about it: Canada is enormous, as well; but aside from the southern part and sections of its east coast, there is nothing there but space. Would Russia waste a bunch of its nuclear arsenal to vaporize a bunch of caribou and melt some ice?
You missed my point. Russians have much more space to escape nuclear attack on cities. Americans will be like cornered rats with not many areas to escape to. It is OKAY if you miss simple points. We can’t all be high IQ generals.
