Is This GOP Congressman the Greatest Fabulist in American History? Newly Elected Long Island Congressman Goerge Santos Totally Lied About His Background

You will not be shocked at the news that people running for federal office have often “fudged” their resumes, pretending to have accomplished things or been places that they’ve never done or never been.

Voters, if they support that candidate, tend to shrug their shoulders and look the other way. But what should we do with Representative-elect George Santos of New York? Santos has lied about more than where he worked or where he went to school. George Santos has created an entirely new human being in such glorious and wondrous detail that it took five a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/19/nyregion/george-santos-ny-republicans.html" target="_blank">New York Times reporters spread out over two continents to unravel it.

Santos missed his calling. He easily could have been a spy 50 years ago, having created such a marvelous legend that he could have passed as a harmless American despite his real identity as a Soviet agent.

Santos ran for Congress in New York’s 3rd congressional district on Long Island. He ran as the “full embodiment of the American dream” according to the Times. Indeed, he said he was the son of Brazilian immigrants, which may be true, but about the rest of his resume, no one is really sure.

The Times says Santos “catapulted himself from a New York City public college to become a ‘seasoned Wall Street financier and investor’ with a family-owned real estate portfolio of 13 properties and an animal rescue charity that saved more than 2,500 dogs and cats.”

None of that is true. Baruch college, from which Santos says he graduated, has no record that he ever attended. The Wall Street firms for which he says he worked have no record of him, either. His animal rescue group was a scam.

“So Santos pulled an Obama.”

LOL! Highly probable that Santos “pulled” an Obama seeing he(Santos) is a SODOMITE.

I assume that he made his money selling methamphetamine, cocaine, and his own arse.

So he’s less disgusting and dishonorable than Chuck Schumer ...

Amen to that. I use famous names of dead authors.

When I was 17 a navy recruiter wanted my name in High School back in 1976. I was getting college offers, bank offers, loan offers, and other junk mail with (my dogs 🐕 name) on it for 15 years. That was back in actual paper lists and paper junk mail. He dropped off the bulk junk mail wagon right after we bought our first home. Some sort of reconciliation of personal data must have been triggered.

The United States Navy must have sold over 100 pounds of mail serviced to my dog, Gunther.

Not doing the GOP brand any good. Does the Republican Party even “vet” candidates anymore?

The NY GOP is dead, what's funny is Rob Astorino wants to run for chairman, I think he's either from LI or Westchester Co.

"And Devolder Organization, the company he claims he ran? It’s nowhere to be found."

It's like George Constanza got elected to Congress!

If anything, successfully fooling the voters probably makes him more qualified for a seat in Congress.

“So I guess all they could do now is impeach him.”

Well, they could all refuse to let him sit at their table in the Congressional lunchroom I guess.

“I assume that he made his money selling methamphetamine, cocaine, and his own arse.”

Yep, that would be earning a more honest living than most politicians.

‘Why muddy the waters with euphemisms like “fabulist”? Just say “liar.”’

Well, there are so many varieties of liars in Congress I reckon the reporter wanted to be a bit more specific for the sake of the readers.

“Does the Republican Party even “vet” candidates anymore?”

Since when did they ever? You get the signatures, you are on the ballot, same as anyone else.

George Santos has created an entirely new human being in such glorious and wondrous detail that it took five New York Times reporters spread out over two continents to unravel it.

This is how I knew this guy's party. NYT doesn't put 5 reporters on task to out a Dem.

“Yet more proof, as if needed, that queers are super unstable and lie about everything, limited only by being caught.

They deserve exclusion from any serious positions of authority or trust in our society.”

But by that standard, all politicians would also be excluded...

Re: "The Democrats do not have authority over the new House."

I thought that was obvious.

Less obvious - the relentless Democratic Party and MSM commitment to destroy four GOP Congressmen and take back the authority.

Okay.

Biden constantly lied (and still does) about his background and has engaged in plagiarism. And the media couldn’t give a hoot.
