Twitter’s top ranks were riddled with ex-FBI agents and executives, stitching the company even closer to the federal agency now under fire for leaning on Twitter to meddle in the 2020 elections.
More than a dozen former feds flocked to the company in the months and years prior to Elon Musk’s purchase of the social network in October.
The Post found FBI influence was considerably more significant than just James Baker, the FBI’s former general counsel who later worked in the same role for Twitter. He was recently fired by Musk for interfering in the billionaire’s efforts to come clean about past transgressions at the company.
In some cases, the former G-men and -women held positions that would have put them close to company leadership directly involved in censoring The Post’s Hunter Biden coverage in October 2020.
Matthew Williams spent more than 15 years with the FBI, working mostly out of Seattle, where he served most recently as an intelligence program manager and senior supervisory intelligence analyst.
Williams joined Twitter in June 2020 — the same month as Baker — as a “senior director of product trust,” according to his LinkedIn.
Dawn Burton, a former federal prosecutor who served as deputy chief of staff to FBI boss James Comey, joined Twitter in September 2019 as director of strategy and operations and counsel organization, according to her LinkedIn and Bloomberg.
As a Comey insider, Burton would have been close to the agency’s Hillary Clinton email investigation as well as it’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. elections?
Jeff Carlton worked for the FBI, CIA and as an intelligence officer for the US Marines before joining Twitter in May 2021. His now deleted LinkedIn account says he led “Twitter’s Strategic Response Team …

Name ALL of the names. This nest of snakes committed a crime against the constitution.
I want to see the State of Texas and the State of Florida sue these individuals for violation of the 1st amendment.
Donald Trump would have standing to join such a trial as a plaintiff.
Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop was a government front to spy on and control Americans. It may still be.
.
This is no surprise to Congress.
Their staff comes and goes to the FBi, too.
.
I don’t think they are responsible for violating the 1st Amendment as former FBI employees. Twitter is a private company.
Violation of the 1st Amendment would require current government approval.
I think there was, but that’s not actual proof/evidence.
Maybe collusion or RICO possibly.
FR has lawyers that can chime in.
Given what we now know of Twitter and its influencers, I think it tells us FAR MORE about the bias of federal agencies than privately owned social media outlets.
It just proves what we’ve known all along ever since about the time of Woodstock and the drug culture.
I wonder how “ex-” those “ex-employees” really are?
And Brandon STILL wanted the Department of Homeland Security’s Disinformation Governance Board.
Ex-FBI! They’re not ex-FBI or former FBI. And they’re not employees. They own/run/control big tech.
Exactly. Musk may still have some FBI espionage agents still there under deep cover.
BINGO! I don't believe anything they tell us, and that "ex" argument is about the least believable lie they've told us.

Unlike the CIA, they may not have played a serious role in his assassination, but they played a significant role in the coverup.
Oh...wait...
Makes one very curious as to HOW the Musk purchase transaction was allowed to close. I mean, doesn’t this indicate a (further) sloppiness on the part of the Deep State?
And the truth about infiltration is likely even more thorough and complete than it appears at this point.
Good grief indeed.
I don’t think they are responsible for violating the 1st Amendment as former FBI employees.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Hey, if they caught the censorship ball from an employed FBI colleague the plaintiffs can name , they are guilty as all get out. This is how espionage works. From the way it appears now it looks like a RICO offense, Racketeering interstate wire fraud. That’s triple damage country, punitive damages.
Doubly so because these retired agents are still bound by their oath of service to defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic, even after they retired.
The pucker factor at the FBI must be very high right now as the paper shredding machines are working 24/7 and i-phones and FBI swervers are being wiped clean.
GO ELON!
A fully fleshed out expose of the absolutely CORRUPT TO THE CORE alleged INTEL COMMUNITY! Grab a sandwich, beverage (and a BARF BAG and razor blade?) and read it. And share it!
“WE’RE IN TROUBLE” doesn’t begin to cover the mess we’re in!

Agreed 100%
Historian Victor Davis Handson things so too.He has caled the FBI the Gestapo/Stassi publicly, and has called for their break up and defunding.
