John Dean, former White House counsel to Richard Nixon and chronic GOP critic, said Friday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” that the work of the House Select Committee investigating January 6, 2021 will go down in history.
Cooper asked, “John, when it comes to charges being considered, obstruction of an official proceeding, insurrection, conspiracy to defraud the federal government if the DOJ were to pursue those, how high is the bar in the court of law?”

I can't wait till I hear the news.
Says the man whose prostitute girlfriend was the impetus for Watergate. Pffft!
What the hell is a 1/6 committee....or do mean the Demorat $hit storm that now one gave 2 hoots about....they pissed away more money for nothing.
It’s not news when the title says ‘will be ...’. It’s propaganda.
Didn’t John Dean go to Prison???
ROTFLMAO! Grandpas will be reading it to their grandchildren, Right Deanie? You liberals are fools.
Doubt it, Deanie-Weenie Boy.
Like the rest of the turd fondlers, a long time.
Yes we will remember.
Ironically, no one remembers John Dean except when he worms his way onto the media stage. No one will remember the J6 committee after they finish witch-hunting Trump.
Gawd what prompted this snake to come out of his hole?!
Stalin’s show trials are still remembered too.
The relevant question: “...how high is the bar in the court of law?”
Considering that any trial will be held in D.C., not all that high, I’d imagine. And note that some people, who merely wandered through the Capitol, touching nothing, are still in jail without bail. How do you think they’d treat an indicted Trump?
I have a problem now.
For two years I have felt that those individuals who peacefully protested and didn’t attack and break in were within their rights as citizens. I have felt that those who broke in and vandalized as deserving of criminal charges. Those that entered, did not destroy, from the beckoning waves of capital police, were unjustly prosecuted.
Now, with the knowledge that we are an facade of a Republic, I am confused.. There are no free and fair elections with the government controlling propaganda and the media with taxpayer dollars. Since we live in a fascist state, those who protested are all criminals. Those that expose that the DNC is nothing but a front for criminal fascist are obviously state criminals. We expect a bill of rights that simply doesn’t exist in a fascist state. Trump is nothing but a confused leader, who clearly believed in a Republic that has not existed since JFK. Most Americans have lived their lives under this reality. This explains the 2020 election, and so much more. We cannot change what is peacefully anymore, and the election shenanigans are just reminders.
My problem is coming to terms with the reality of what is, and the obvious next steps that the ‘government’ will have to take as people wake up to this reality.
Bernstein is 79 in February. If we’re lucky, maybe next year we’ll get a two-get
Folks at the FBI: I hope these rat bastards die peacefully in their sleep of natural causes. I neither mean nor intend harm to them. I just hope it happens naturally, and happens soon
Yes, and in John Dean’s mind he is the greatest legend in America.
January 6 will be over and done with on January 7.
The only thing I remember about him during the hearings, was his hot wife.
