The CDC commissioned the gun use study itself, but removed it last year
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reportedly removed statistics on defensive gun use in the U.S. following pressure from gun control advocates.
The stats sourced from a CDC-commissioned study finding that instances of defensive gun use occur between 60,000 and 2.5 million times per year. References to that study were deleted from the site following private meetings with gun control advocates in 2021, emails obtained and published by The Reload show.
"[T]hat 2.5 Million number needs to be killed, buried, dug up, killed again and buried again," Mark Bryant, executive director of the Gun Violence Archive, wrote to the CDC in one of the emails. "It is highly misleading, is used out of context and I honestly believe it has zero value — even as an outlier point in honest DGU discussions."

All this sadistic and violent talk... sounds like Mark Bryant needs to be red-flagged.
The CDC continues to give aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States.
The consultants need to be charged for fraud, pay back what they invoiced for with penalties, and be suspended from future work on government projects.
The CDC employees who signed off on the consultants' fraud need to be charged, pay back the hours they billed to the report, and be suspended from working for the government.
This wasn't just "something they missed". This was fraud and they knew it.

Thus, I don't doubt the politicization and anti-civil rights element of the CDC's actions. But I think this is more about crony capitalism, and the govt effectively driving researchers to use (and pay for use of...) Bryant's potentially-biased database.

Sure they do. Cannot have those gun owners saving their own lives or lives of others. Business owners who shoot back at robbers?? Well, cannot have that happening. They must be victims and cry to the government for more gun control and give them money to make up their losses. Nope, cannot have people protecting their selves. Simply cannot have that!!!!
When you conduct the research, and you don't like the findings as a government agency, you can trash it and ignore it, altogether.
That's what the CDC did here ..
Now go ahead and tell me that the CDC isn't a politically motivated and ideologue agency.
The same can be said of EVERY agency under the current regme. When will we the sheeple acknowledge that this is no longer a Constitutional Republic? We no longer live under the rule of law but the rule of tyrants.
