With her as Governor she has solid opposition from the legislature. She wouldn’t be able to enact any kind of anti-gun stuff without it. She wouldn’t be able to do anything like raising taxes without it.

Kemp as Governor. That same legislature is going to roll over for him. Roll over on things that matter. They dangle the low hanging fruit, guns and taxes(even though they’re going up), and distract everyone while they give away the state.

If you’re from Georgia, are you familiar with the Rowen Project?

I have already stated that Republicans in Georgia are retread Democrats.   They would not stop Stacey Abrams in the least, if she had the catbird seat under the Gold Dome.

And no, I have never heard of the Rowen Project?   But with a quick check it looks like Somebody wants to recreate a "Research Triangle Park" in Gwinnett County.

Living in self-satisficed Cobb County for forty years, I don't pay much attention to Gwinnett County.   I will say that it seems like a bad time to make pipe dreams.

Yes a research center. Starting out with around 18,000 jobs, so they say.

But…..and if you couldn’t tell by my tone what enrages me.

1. Whole deal done in complete secrecy.

2. Former Gwinnett Cty chairperson, who didn’t run for re-election after pushing this thing thru stated…..she was elected to make decisions for her constituents. Not keep them informed and get a consensus

3. An interview conducted with “a person familiar with the deal” reveals that “the deal was done in secret so the developer could get the land cheaper”. So, Gwinnett Cty government folks conspire with developer to rip-off Gwinnett land owners.

It gets better…..they’re saying that the project could add 100k people to the area. Have you ever driven up and down 316 in your 40yrs of being in Cobb. You can barely get up and down it now.

Sadly, two of the most Conservative places in the country, Cobb and Gwinnett, are now solid Blue. Shameful.
