"Other than coming forward about Joe Biden, there would be no reason for" the subpoena, Reade said.
The Justice Department reportedly subpoenaed Twitter for information about Tara Reade's accounts in 2020 after she alleged that then-Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden sexually assaulted her when she was a Senate aide in 1993, newly released documents show.
The agency demanded that Twitter testify before a grand jury in December 2020 to provide "all subscriber information" from Reade's accounts, according to documents reviewed Friday by the Daily Caller.
The subpoena asked for information on Reade's handles, such as @ReadeAlexandra and @TaraMcCabe, along with the accounts' address, session records, length of service, personal user information, personal user information and possible payment methods, including credit card numbers.
"Other than coming forward about Joe Biden, there would be no reason for" the subpoena, Reade told the Daily Caller.
A few months before the subpoena, Reade said that Biden sexually assaulted her in a Senate building on Capitol Hill when she served as his aide.
Twitter attorney Hayden Schottlaender of Perkins Coie informed Reade of the subpoena in December 2020 and said at the time that the social media outlet "intends to comply."
Reade in April 2020 filed a police report on the matter with the Washington Metropolitan Police Department. However, the complaint had already gone past the statute of limitations, and the department has said her case is inactive.
My guess - apart from just harassing her and signaling to others what may be in store if they talk (about anything) - is that they wanted to see if she was involved with any Trump campaign people.
Probed her Twitter? Isn’t that what Biden did?
Twitter heard she liked them.

It’s 2020, Trump is still president, and the Justice Dept is using its power to swear out search warrants to dig dirt on political opponents of Biden. I’m no lawyer, but this sounds like a larger abuse of power than Watergate.
She needs to sue them for illegal search and seizure and attempting to interfere with her 1st amendment rights.
FBI = STASI = KGB
Wray = Beria “Show me the man and I will show you the crime.”
DNC instruction manual = 1984
Antifa = DNC Brown shirts with tactics by Saul Alinsky
Media = Goebbels (Hitlers Minister of Propaganda)
Judicial System = Russian show trials of Stalin
“I’m no lawyer, but this sounds like a larger abuse of power than Watergate.”
Most definitely. Watergate was an abuse of power, but it was between political campaigns, so mostly just dirty politics. This is abusing power to crush individual citizens and deprive them of their rights.
Just a side note, this was the DOJ under William Barr/Donald Trump.
Just in case you thought all you needed was a Republican administration to get justice . . .
Ooh, another packet of files for Musk to release.
OF COURSE. She is fortunate not to have gotten herself added to The List.

Wonder how many others are in that club what is it with democrats they only think and act from the waist down.
Must be a requirement.
“You’re only a rebel from the waist downwards,’ he told her.”

Spot on
Did they sniff her underwear too?
Your post says it all.
We live in a Stalinist-style dictatorship and the Democrat Party and Big Brother Biden are firmly in charge.
.
Another opportunity the Republicans wasted. When this story came out, the press supressed it. At the time I said every REp should be calling him “fingers Biden” or just “fingers” when talking about him in public.People who didn’t know the story would start asking why he is being called that, and the story would spread.
