The midterm elections are officially over after Sen. Raphael Warnock defeated GOP nominee Herschel Walker by nearly 3 percentage points in Georgia’s Senate runoff. While Democrats celebrate their 51st seat in the upper chamber, Karl Rove, a veteran GOP strategist and Fox News contributor, says the Republican loss was avoidable.
"It shouldn't have been," Rove told Fox News Digital. "We had a terrible candidate who was well-meaning but plagued with a lot of scandal and was not particularly good on the campaign trail."
Republicans' loss in the Peach State boils down to poor candidate quality at the hands of President Donald Trump, according to Rove.
"It just shows again he’s a bad picker," Rove said.

Karl Rove is disingenuous. Mitch McConnell pulled of essentially a coup. Those senators he wanted to win, he helped them to win.
Those senators who wouldn’t do McConnell’s bidding, McConnell helped them to lose. We don’t have an incoming GOP senate.
We have an incoming McConnell senate.

I’m not sure that anyone Rove favored would have been a better choice, but I am willing to agree that Herschel wasn’t the greatest candidate. The man is likable, but he isn’t articulate. I saw him dozens of times on Fox News shows, and he’d typically have someone like Linda Graham sitting next to him, speaking for him. It wasn’t a good look. Sure, the Dems could have won with him (cf. Fetterman), but considering all the forces working against us (media bias, Dem voter-fraud machine, etc.), we’ve got to be clearly better than them just to have a fighting chance.
They get to keep their cushy state jobs as long as the Democrats win the Senate.
If this is not true, then please explain the mentality of hundreds of thousands of voters who supposedly voted for Kemp for governor and then Warnock for Senator.
Nice try Karl, you’ve been losing since 2006. REMEMBER Rove told Trump to stop challenging the results in 2020 and come back in 2024, and he’d be the top candidate? He’s a fraud.
the Establishment has washed out big time this election cycle - so pulls a Dem move and blames Trump. but we’re not buying. McConnell and McDaniel were caught short - no way around it. Trump’s record of endorsements and wins is pretty darned good.

You're right, but Fetterman wasn't even likeable and he won. The GOP Lt governor publicly announced he wouldn't vote for Hersch, they all sat around while the GOP was outspent 3-1, demonizing Walker. Then they have the gall to blame Trump.
