I despise this behavior. Laws should be equally applied to all.
Period.

Next up- A BLACK MALE!
That’s my understanding.
It is good to see that they are cracking down on the hardened criminals like this police chief. /sarc
I’m pretty sure Hillary Clinton said something about the rule of law applying to anyone.
Would their have even been a citation for this, if she was a civilian?
True everywhere.
Resigning over a golf cart ticket?
Seriously?
This story sounds like it should be in The Bee...
“I’ve never met a cop who when pulled over for speeding or other minor violations would not identify himself as a cop with the expectation of betting let off.”
Not after ringing out the body cam is on and you are disposed by the troops.
Her husband was driving.
She was fired as a rookie cop for beating up on a cop for pulling her soon-to-be husband for DUI.
Maybe she was trying to avoid being shot.
“Resigning over a golf cart ticket?”
No.
Do you think every single person pulled over for a vehicle infraction should get a ticket no matter what the situation?
“Not after ringing out the body cam is on and you are disposed by the troops.”
Not after finding out the body cam is on and you are dispised by the troops.
Normal Philly/DE area. I don’t care.
The woman was a controversial hire into the Police Chief position earlier this year. She had previously been suspended then fired from Tampa PD, charged with battery on a police officer, obstruction, and disorderly intoxication. She was given a "second chance" and reinstated to the Tampa PD.
O'Connor didn't last a year in her new position. In other words, she was a bad hire as Police Chief.
“Do you think every single person pulled over for a vehicle infraction should get a ticket no matter what the situation?”
Do you think unlicensed vehicles without lights should be allowed on public streets after dark?
I agree with you.
But.....Will we ever see that happen?

But I'm not the only one."

“…if she was a civilian?”
Not to nitpick but this is a bit of a pet peeve of mine: cops are civilians. There’s the military and then there is everyone else, who are known as civilians. Too many police departments these days appear to have forgotten this. Policemen calling the public “civilians” is to me a telltale sign of the wrong attitude.
Then therew was the judge here locally who was pulled over. Except the woman with him wasn’t his wife. All nicely recorded.
