The media purposely twists anything Trump says. As Trump has said numerous times, fake news media.
When what they report isn’t a blatant lie, they are ignoring stories that don’t fit their agenda or distorting the wording of those they deem to be adversaries.
Would it be possible to IGNORE the sHill? Why post from that fetid place.
In other news Trump also stated that he does not beat Melania or harbor racist beliefs.
A serious writer would have phrased this as: responding to fake media and establishment outrage for political purposes.
The point is to get people so upset at the strawman that they will forgo ever checking if the strawman is real.

Don't you get it? They WANT backlash. This is the way it's going to be for the next two years. Every single thing Trump says is going to get twisted around on him by the mainsteam media and Deep State establishment who absolutely hate his guts and want to destroy his presidential bid at all costs.
The media - almost all enemies of Trump - are hoping that his supporters get "tired out" by all the noise that they create. Every day is going to bring a "new Trump outrage". They are hoping that enough of his supporter throw in the towel and vote for somebody else in the primaries.
And if that works, whoever that "somebody else" is, the media will just turn their guns on that guy.
Best thing MAGA supporters can do it tune the media out and vote Trump when it's time.

I read exactly what he said, and he deserves the backlash that he got. He should be judged on the exact same standards on which he judge everyone else who runs for office, not graded on some sort of Trumpian curve where we have to run everything he says through some kind of translator to get what he “really” means.

When this story got posted here a couple of days ago there were some freetards that bought into it as well; didn’t read Trump’s actual quote, but took the headline’s/The Hill’s word for it.
