Flu is no longer Covid any more. The flu disappeared for two years.
We need to live in fear until any and all respiratory illnesses are totally wiped out. Flu, COVID, common cold — all of them need to be extinct. Until such time, we will have to obey the whims of our all-powerful and benevolent government.
Mrs. P and I have had it for the past week. Getting over it now. No fun! And no I didn’t have the flu shot or the Vax.
Fauci, Biden, the CDC, Big Pharma etc have destroyed trust in the medical field for me and many, many Americans.
Dumbass Democrats and RINOs and some weak Conservatives have unleased Doctors who have as their pre-First Amendment that all rights granted by the government (because that's who they believe grant rights) can be revoked in the name of health and science for the common good (keep the checks coming).
Winter’s coming, and people get the flu. Millions and millions of people. There have been years where many thousands of people have died from the flu, and all of sudden the situation is “dire”?
Just another excuse to lock us all down and facilitate the Great Reset and destruction of our economy and freedoms. Screw that.
Take precautions, lots of vitamin C and other preventatives, and for heaven’s sake, those who are 100 pounds overweight, stop binging on food and Netflix, and get up and move around!

That said, persons do get the flu, and many die each year from it, (except 2020- when flu disappeared). So if you wish to exercise caution for yourself, by all means do so.

The CDC needs to be shuttered along with everything healthcare related. They have a proven record of abusing our rights. They can never be allowed to do that again.

I’m in NH and am just getting over the flu. Woke up last Thursday morning with a fever. It did not break until Saturday morning. First time I have had the flu in many years.
Well Mrs Submareener and I had this years flu, recently, and it wasn’t so bad. However, while we have had the COVID, we did not get the Jab, and therefore our immune systems are intact.
With the Hill being a strident propaganda organ, it easy to know what the Party wants us to worry about.
So....we’re trusting the CDC now?

The Institute of Medicine recommendation for adults younger than 70 years of age is 600 IU of vitamin D daily. We are told that this would achieve a level of 50 nmol/L in greater than 97.5% of individuals.6 Regrettably, a statistical error has resulted in erroneous recommendations by the Institute of Medicine leading to this conclusion and it might actually take 8800 IU of vitamin D to achieve this level in 97.5% of the population.7 This is a serious public health blunder.
A colleague of mine and I have introduced vitamin D at doses that have achieved greater than 100 nmol/L in most of our patients for the past number of years, and we now see very few patients in our clinics with the flu or influenzalike illness. In those patients who do have influenza, we have treated them with the vitamin D hammer, as coined by my colleague. This is a 1-time 50 000 IU dose of vitamin D3 or 10 000 IU 3 times daily for 2 to 3 days. The results are dramatic, with complete resolution of symptoms in 48 to 72 hours. One-time doses of vitamin D at this level have been used safely and have never been shown to be toxic.8 We urgently need a study of this intervention. The cost of vitamin D is about a penny for 1000 IU, so this treatment costs less than a dollar.
