Do not complain or comment about other people’s spouses. Not their weight, intelligence, habits, nor personality. Because, that gives you the right to demand that they do not talk about your spouse.
It isn’t your business, or theirs of you.
You are right. The comments from many are downright cruel. I suppose many of them would have said the same of my late hubs and me. He was a handsome guy and I am (well to put it kindly, I do clean up nicely.) not going to turn heads. But he was not gay. I was not a beard. He did really love me. Some men and women are not lasered in on current standards of beauty.
