This is a stupid take, a stupid strategy and a stupid strategy, and it’s a guaranteed loser.

If the election system is rigged, if ballot harvesting and mail in ballots are rigging the election, if broken voting machines is rigging the elections, and all that is morally wrong, there’s no point in running for office because ... as Trump said ... the system is rigged.

That’s how rigged elections work, you don’t win them if the people who rig the system don’t want you to.

How does that premise win the White House? Seriously? How can you motivate an overwhelming majority of voters to throw their vote away in a rigged election?

Instead, and hear me out here, maybe you acknowledge the flaws in the system, dedicate yourself to replacing the flawed system with one that restores everyone’s faith in voting (national holiday, voter ID, there’s plenty of options).... and then put dumptruck loads of money and train thousands of activists and volunteers on the singular task of using every legal tactic to make the flawed system work for them.

Do it earlier, do it better, do it harder than the dems have done it.

Democrats dropping off ballot applications at nursing homes and filling them out on “behalf” of the residents? Have teams of older republican activists get to those nursing homes first, talk with the residents and follow up with helping the residents legally send off their absentee ballots.

Microtargeting campaigns using focused messaging to excite single issue voters and get them to make a decison to fill out and send in a ballot out of emotion? Do it, get their ballots in and then encourage the most passionate of them to keep participating by talking to friends, knocking on doors, driving folks to ballot drop off locations.

I personally think this strategy is only goi g to be successful if the big G GOP and Trump work together, immense resources need to be invested for this to work, and having half of the political right fighting with the other half is just not going to work.

The whole campaign can still be Trump-centric, it can still fall under the banner of “Save America”, but it also answers the question of “How?”

I've been compiling my own list of "Comprehensive Election Reform" in 2022. Here is the list so far. Please send other ideas and suggestions. I'm surprised I haven't seen such a list presented and discussed in an article or series of articles. Perhaps I just missed it.

1. Only citizes of the USA can vote in elections.
2. Erase all voter rolls after every quadrennial presidential election. Everybody has to re-register IN PERSON with valid ID (Birth Certificate and Passport preferred) within 12 months of the election. The registrar can send a representative to shut-ins.
3. Paper ballots.
4. Only in person voting is allowed with valid government ID, ideally Birth Certificate and Passport.
5. Mail-in voting is illegal.
6. Purple ink-stained fingers after voting.
7. No drop-boxes outside polling places. They are permitted INSIDE polling places with polling workers manning them.
8. Eliminate ranked choice voting.
9. Eliminate "jungle" primaries and cross-party voting in primaries.
10. Severely limit or eliminate ballot harvesting. A person cannot submit more than one (perhaps two) ballots for other people AND they must be proven blood relatives.
11. No same-day registration and "motor voter" registration. Voting should not be "easy." That breeds lazy, uninformed citizens, the bane of a representative Republic. It should be somewhat challenging to register.
12. Restrict absentee ballots to the military and people who appear before a registrar in person and provide a valid reason no more than three months before an election.
13. Election DAY, not election SEASON.
14. All ballot counting must be completed by midnight of Election Day.
15. Only open-source code can be used used in vote tabulating machines.
16. Make private funding of elections illegal. Prevent people like Soros and Zuckerberg from subverting elections.
17. People receiving any federal welfare assistance programs cannot vote.
18. AND, if you REALLY want to get serious about "saving our democracy," execute people convicted of vote fraud. OK, I'd be happy with 20 year sentences.

None of this is radical because it is pretty much the way things were until about 1990. What is radical is letting the far leftists subvert our election processes so radically the past 30 years.

Donald Trump is certainly correct, as he is on most things. Mail in balloting is an open invitation to a myriad ways of cheating. Anybody with half a brain can describe at least ten ways to cheat under mail-in ballots. Voting needs to be in-person on a particular day, with government photo idea and a fingerprint. A bonded employee of the registrar of voters contacts people who are physically unable to come to the polls and visits them on election day with their ballot, checks their ID and their fingerprint, waits for them to fill it out, and takes it back to the polling place. This assures that somebody else in the household does not wind up taking the handicapped person’s ballot and filling it out as they please, instead of the intended voter, especially when the homebound voteris not mentally with it or unaware a ballot has arrived.
