Former Vice President Mike Pence on Monday said former President Trump was “wrong” to have dinner with white nationalist Nick Fuentes last week, but said he does not believe Trump is an antisemite or racist.
“President Trump was wrong to give a white nationalist, an antisemite and a Holocaust denier a seat at the table, and I think he should apologize,” Pence told NewsNation in an interview.
“With that being said, as I point out in the book as well, I don’t believe Donald Trump is an antisemite. I don’t believe he’s a racist or a bigot,” Pence continued. “I would not have been his vice president if he was.”
“But I think the president demonstrated profoundly poor judgment in giving those individuals a seat at the table, and as I said, I think he should apologize for it,” Pence said. “He should denounce them without qualification.”

Pence aspires to be the next Dole, McCain, and Romney. A respectable Republican candidate who loses with grace and dignity.
I doubt Kanye is so Machiavellian or duplicitous. He's sincere but clueless. He likely thought Trump would welcome being his running mate, and never expected any media outrage.
As for what Fuentes intended, I don't know much about him.

Apparently this isn't the case.
As newzjunkey said, PDJT seems to have a blind spot when it comes to celebrities, at least those who have said anything nice about him in the past.
I'm not anything like a follower of Kanye West, although just from the observations I haven't been able to avoid picking up, he strikes me as someone with rather severe psychological problems; these are combined with an insatiable and malignant appetite for media attention.

I think loyalty is of great value to Trump, and he makes himself vulnerable to those who earn his and later decide to use it as a weapon.
