Former President Donald Trump confirmed Friday he met this week with Ye — the rapper formerly known as Kanye West — and far-right activist Nick Fuentes, whom the Justice Department has called a “white supremacist.”
Trump said in a post on Truth Social that he was not expecting Fuentes to attend the dinner at his Mar-a-Lago resort and claimed he didn’t know anything about Fuentes, who led “Stop the Steal” rallies after the 2020 presidential election in support of Trump’s false claims about widespread fraud.
“This past week, Kanye West called me to have dinner at Mar-a-Lago,” said Trump, who is running for president again in 2024. “Shortly thereafter, he unexpectedly showed up with three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about. We had dinner on Tuesday evening with many members present on the back patio. The dinner was quick and uneventful. They then left for the airport.”
Trump’s acknowledgement of the dinner followed reports from The Daily Beast and the entertainment website Consequence as well as a social media video posted by Ye describing the dinner.
In the video, Ye said he asked Trump to be his running mate in the 2024 presidential election, which Trump was “perturbed about,” according to the rapper.
Ye claimed Trump “started basically screaming at me at the table telling me I was going to lose.”
“I mean, has that ever worked for anyone in history?” Ye said. “I'm like, ‘Whoa, whoa, hold on, hold on, Trump. You're talking to Ye.’”
The rapper also implied that Trump made a derogatory about Ye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and that the former president “is really impressed with Nick Fuentes.”

I had hoped his speech announcing his candidacy was a new direction for Trump. It was in many ways Reaganesque. But no, he still approaces this like he’s still calling in to Imus or Stern.

Anyone coming into the residence of a former President is screened ahead of time. Uninvited guests are frowned upon. A 10 second google search of Fuentes should have been enough to deny him entry. He’s running for President for gods sake!

Guests do not get into Mar a Lago without going through metal detectors which are manned by armed Secret Service agents. Apparently you don’t understand, Mar a Lago caters to weddings and many other events with lots of people coming and going. During events Trump is also escorted by several armed SS agent.

Now lets look at the most secured, guarded property in the world under a sitting president. A suspect armed with a knife not only jumped the White House fence, and then made it across about 100 yards across the grass, then reached the White House and entered a door to the White House. The armed suspect ran right past the stairway leading up to the first family’s living quarters. He then ran into the East Room before being apprehended.
This is the most secured property in the world..lol.
