Oil companies need to boycott LA and stop sending gasoline there. Boycott the bass turds.

What’s wrong of living next to the oil well?
Oil is a natural resource, basically organic. Nothing artificial!

Be nice if oil companies immediately close all gas stations in all of LA.

What’s wrong of living next to the oil well? Oil is a natural resource, basically organic. Nothing artificial! I'd definitely rather live near an oil well than near a windfarm. I lean toward Thomas Gold's theory that oil is a renewable resource that comes from deep within the earth - nothing to do with fossils.

There are lots of oil wells pumping 24/7 in LA right now. Many are actually in buildings so that you can not see them.
There was so much oil in the LA area that it was leaking out of the ground. The La Prea Tar Pits is an example of this.

If you believe this wouldn't result in nationalized distribution of fuel by the government in less than 2 weeks, you haven't been paying attention.

I doubt the Brandon administration would want to drill for oil and operate refineries. I just can’t see them doing it.

I doubt they'd allow a liberal center like LA shut down either... I assure you, they wouldn't do that.

Hey, boycotts work for the liberals EVERY DAMN TIME. We should try it. What do we have to lose?

“Many community groups have lobbied Los Angeles to stop oil drilling, citing the harm it has on communities, which is disproportionately felt in working-class communities and communities of color.”
Amazing how these oil wells know how to not harm the rich white residents of L.A.

We seem to lose more personal liberty each time we do it... just ask anyone who protested on Jan 6.

Excellent point, Butcher. I was surprised to learn there are productive oil derricks all over Los Angeles, even dotted in residential areas. Nowadays they’re often camouflaged, as you point out. (My dad used to call Polish carpenters “wood butchers.”)
