Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Monday said the U.S. will continue to support Ukraine “for as long as it takes,” underscoring the Biden administration’s commitment to keep funding the nation in its war against Ukraine despite concerns a new Republican majority in the House may plug up spending.

Austin, speaking at a press conference in Jakarta, Indonesia, said the U.S. has provided more than $20 billion to Ukraine and the country has used it effectively.

A trillion here, a few trillion there, who cares right?

A trillion plus in Afghanistan and 19.5 years and we still have not learned a damn thing.

FR POSTED-—Bankman Fried May Have Started the Demolition of the Deep State

FTA——It really doesn’t matter how much more US tax dollars we pour down that rat-hole Ukraine because by the time various parties — the weapons-makers, greedy Zelensky, sundry members of the US House of Representatives, the Biden Crime Family, the World Economic Forum — are finished creaming off their share, Ukraine won’t have enough cash-on-hand to replace six fuse-boxes in Zaporizhzhia.

I think it’s good to “telegraph” this whether we really fulfill it or not, while also pressuring Ukraine to negotiate behind the scenes etc

Good.
Congress has already approved $52 billion, only $20 billion has been sent.
Biden has asked the lame duck congress for $48 billion, which the White House spokesperson listed as the #2 priority.
And the new congress hasn’t changed enough to diminish support for Ukraine.
So if $20 billion funds 9 months, we will have funding on the books for $100 less the $20 billion already sent. That’s 4 more periods of 9 months or 36 months. Another 3 years.
Can Russia stay in this war 3 more years?

Insurance companies are rebuilding Florida.

And FEMA has provided over $2 billion in aide to Florida.
And US Insurers are expected to pay out $67 billion to rebuild Florida.
