Colorado Springs, Colo., Mayor John Suthers (R) on Monday said a mass shooting at an LGBTQ nightclub in his city over the weekend “has all the trappings” of a hate crime.
“The motive is still under investigation,” Suthers said during an appearance on NBC’s “Today.”
“It has all the trappings of a hate crime, but we need to look at social media, we need to look at all kinds of other information that we’re gathering from people that knew the individual before we make any definitive conclusions about a motivation,” Suthers added. “But it certainly as I say has the trappings of a hate crime.”
Authorities said 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich entered Club Q late on Saturday night and immediately began shooting, killing five and injuring 25 others before multiple clubgoers confronted him and stopped him

All that’s missing is the shooter was ‘known’ to law enforcement.

Where was the ‘hate crime’ when a black man plowed into a Christmas parade full of white people? Oh yeah, I forgot, that was just a misunderstanding.

In this crazy world, men have to be careful. Here is a local case, where a good fellow helps out a woman described as “like a stepdaughter from a previous relationship” by changing her tire.
Another woman, an ex-girlfriend, apparently was enraged by him being there, shot and killed him. She’s on the run.

So, goodyear is to blame? But, yeah, I do know what you mean. Nothing worse than the “Green eyed moster” that lurks in a lot of people.
Without doubt this was a hate crime but who is the hater?
But what the hell is a hate crime? If I assault someone this is a crime. If I hate him, it becomes a hate crime with extra penalties. If I assault, he or she, I probably already hate him regardless of his or her personal life.
Trappings: ceremonial harness for a horse or other animal, including bridles, saddles, etc.
Sure you can shoot a bunch of people but you better not hate them too

“Hate”(sic) is moot. No crime is done in love, for God’s sake. People are dead. Why really doesn’t matter - just get the killer and execute him!
What difference does it make? Not a Hillary reference, but seriously, what difference would it make if someone was expressing ultimate joy in freeing those troubled souls from a deviant body, or if he hated queers with a cold passion? The very idea of a “hate crime” is silly in itself. If one is intending to, and willing to kill, what does his point of view have to do with anything.
In general - Homos are nasty bullies. Could have something to do with it.
Or maybe they were messing with children in his family.
Best way NOT to get accused of a “Hate Crime” is to yell “I LOVE YOU MAN!” before you pull the trigger.
Would it then be a “Love crime?”
Hate? Ok, not the fault of guns then, it’s the fault of hate.
All murders are a hate crime.
Frankly, I could not care less how many of the perverts he killed. Think about this, every single day of the year, American gay men, give HIV to about 100 of the people they “love.” Simply by refusing to use a condom. The “quality” of their orgasm is more important than the life of their “bottom.” So, why should I care if some nut kills 1/20th of that number???
Killing normal people is a LOVE crime?

The LGBTQ are the most hateful people
I saw this ass on some news channel yesterday. He kept repeating things like, “We don’t know the motive yet, but we have to combat all the hate that brought this about. We don’t know the motive, but the hateful rhetoric we are hearing is no doubt responsible, though we don’t know the motive, it’s a hate crime.”
