A lot of precedents fell during the 2020 election. Republican candidates historically sweeping certain red belt states, suddenly losing Georgia. Historic trends suddenly upended. Etc.

The next historical precedent to be upended will be this one….a sitting Vice President who has served two terms has never served two terms as president. It’s never happened before. Reagan served two terms, but Bush the elder lost his presidential re-election bid.

If Biden runs, which wouldn’t surprise me at this point, he will “win” again.

How's that majority thing working out for us now?

The important thing is, there are (a few) more R's than D's.

Not that we would ever be able to tell the difference.

Do you know how many crackpot petitions the USSC must receive in a term?

It would be a waste of time but that never stopped the dems from doing it. Republicans mostly are just dems anyway so I can see why they oppose it

Surprise! And everyone thought giving the republicans the house would change things.

We really are Charlie Brown trying to kick that football.

*************

I have said “prepare to be disappointed” several times in posts. The GOP simply is what it is, which is a fake party.

It still amazes me to see people here refer to the GOP as “our party”. Its not our party and never will be.

Impeachment in the House without the possibility of CONVICTION in the Senate is political masturbation.
Especially when you never try. THAT works every time.

When a majority of those who vote are ready to denounce separation of power, the Constitution, natural rights etc, our options become very limited.

Of course, they want to play nice, take the high road, and you can bet that they will side with the dems on almost every issue that comes up.

With limited resources and time, you would proceed to battle on the chance of 60 votes in the Senate to convict?

Not following you into battle!

Without the 67 Senate votes for conviction and removal it’s a waste of time impeaching Biden or anyone. It’s ‘conservative virtue signaling’ to even attempt since it effectually accomplishes nothing. If the House wants to accomplish something. Do something that is not more political kabuki theater use the Holman Rule against specific parts of the regime. It only requires a House vote; the Senate is not involved. Reps Comer (Ky) and Biggs (Az) have said they intend on trying to do this.

What is the point of impeaching him when the Senate will not convict?

Not surprised. Milquetoast McCarthy said BEFORE the 2022 mid-term election that he would not allow Biden to be impeached.

If anyone's looking for a reason why Republican's didn't take the Senate and have a bigger lead in the House of Representatives, look no further than McCarthy!

Even if the House could impeach him, the Senate would never remove him. It would be wasted effort. While I think no one who has been president in my lifetime deserves to be impeached and removed any more than that vile meat sack Biden
^^ Truth^^
, I think trying to do constructive things for the people should be the priority.
Another waste of time, since Democrats oppose any supply side economic fixes. Ex. Increasing the supply of petroleum products to combat inflation. They will not agree to enforcing criminal law to make streets safer, since the Abolitionists in the party believe incarnations are part of the Prison Industrial Complex, minorities are oppressed therefore allowed to violate laws. It’s not fair to expect them to follow western civilization rules made by whItes.

It’s even worse - impeaching the clearly unwell Biden at this point would just make him a martyr. Look at how the MSM turned Fetterman into a victim. But leaving Biden alone forces the Democrats to continually explain away his dementia - and why they aren’t asking him to resign in favor of the First Black Female President little girls in America are so desperate to idolize.
