Kari Lake, the perpetually soft-lit, camera-ready political newcomer from Arizona, may have lost her bid to become the state's next governor, but it's unlikely she'll leave the spotlight.
A Phoenix-area news anchor for 22 years, Lake called it quits in 2021 and decided to go all in on politics. She fended off better-funded, more qualified GOP challengers in the primaries and ran a ground game in the general election in which she regularly made headlines for tearing into fellow reporters and mocking her political opponent.
Lake ran a full Trumpist campaign and pushed a familiar but divisive message that questioned the legitimacy of the country's election system. She also ramped up the rhetoric and peddled conspiracy theories about the border, Mexicans, and crime with a smile. Her fans ate it up.
Despite losing to Democratic rival Katie Hobbs, Lake has positioned herself as an up-and-coming conservative star — which may have been her goal all along.

Why should she dump Trump? Embrace him and he will take you to victory along with The Nation. Ms. Lake would make a fine Vice President or UN Ambassador. Trump has one term left to serve—then he can retire and build his library. Is is the MAGA Foundation where others will lead the Nation into glory, one will be diSantas, one Rand Paul, and then Kari Lake.
the moment that Kari Lake appears to be anything but what she is she will lose key support. it does not even have to be trump that she disavows.... she campaigned with masters if Karrie Lake treated masters the way this strategist wants her to treat trump the same supporters would abandon her. most political strategist do not understand that with Trump supporters there is a standard for political behavior not seen in other political movements. this standard is one of being consistent in what you support and not trying to fool people on positions and individuals you support for political gain.
