U.S. climate envoy John Kerry said Wednesday that the U.S. will back proposals to phase out the use of “unabated” fossil fuels at the ongoing COP27 climate summit.
“It has to be unabated oil and gas,” Kerry told Bloomberg in Egypt Wednesday. “Phase down, unabated, over time. The time is a question, but ‘phase down’ is the language we supported.” The “unabated” distinction will open the door to continual operation of fossil fuel developments that offset their greenhouse gas emissions with technology like carbon capture.

What exactly does “unabated” mean? Oil and gas for which no funds have been given to the Marxists to preserve Brandon’s DEMOCRACY?
The Saudis produced enough to drive the fracking frackers out of business in 2015.
They can certainly throttle production to the level that solar and wind cannot possibly take up the slack in 2023.
They are masters at it. And those who challenge their dominion over oil and gas, even Russia, always regret challenging the Saudi Kingdom. They will hurt you and they do not care.
I would gladly support a reasonable 400 year phase down, unabated, over time. That would be enough time to plan a sensible transition off of fossil fuels.

Notice how the language always changes. First it was, “get rid of fossil fuels”, then when China said, “go pound sand”, it became phase them out by such and such a date and now it’s, “well they can continue to be used but with some sort of cleanup on the back end of the process. Well, everyone has known from the beginning that it’s impossible to run an advanced industrial economy on intermittent sources of energy. The whole “climate change” bullshit has been nothing more than a grift on the part of governments, multinationals and the politically connected. They bribed the 3rd world countries to sign on with this absurdity by promising a $100 billion slush fund knowing that it would never appear.
Well now it seems as if they have created a monster. The 3rd world shitholes are miffed that the “developed world” basically did the bait and switch and now demanding “loss and damages”. Now we’re talking REAL dough. As in trillions, with a T. And potentially legal liability. Ooops! Be interesting to see how these grifters manage to wordsmith their way out this mess.
