President Donald Trump was the only president who “understood truths” and had the “best interests” of the American people and American dream in mind, according to Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight, who claimed only Trump could “stop this swamp, this deceit and injustice,” as he called on viewers to “pray” for the former president to “return to the presidency.”
The two-minute clip posted on Sunday and titled “Wake up America,” begins with the Hollywood legend declaring it his “great honor” to say “God bless America.”

He calls for a “healing” for the country from “all the unrighteousness that is taking place” following last week’s midterm elections which saw a much smaller victory for Republicans than the “red wave” that had been predicted.
Warning Americans that the country is “in danger of a Third World War,” Voight insisted the time had come to “look at this lie — this deceit — that continues day after day.”
“Can you not all see this lie?” he asked. “We must all wake up because if we don’t see this lie, this land will die; die in its beauty, its freedom, [and] its opportunity.”
Though America is “supposed to be the land of the free,” he charged, “it’s far from this.”
“It’s a dark web, a dark world,” he stated. “But not for long because, my friends, a change is coming and a new light will emerge.”
“We must all see this truth and allow justice to take place now,” he added.

The only way to win is a long march through schools, city councils, state government etc.

Sad that a man with his wealth who should be able to just enjoy life as a billionaire has had to endure this and will for the rest of his life.

DeSantis can’t compare to Trump in any way. DeSantis needs to stay Florida and get behind Trump.

Trump needs to finish draining the swamp through his second term. Hopefully this will include the federal government surrendering state powers that it has been stealing from the states for the last 100+ years back to the states.
Regarding whoever gets the Oval Office after Trump, patriots are reminded of the following. The Oval Office is not the highest peacetime office in the land as FN wants people to think. The 50 governors’ offices are the highest offices in the land, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention expecting governors and citizens to exercise the 10th Amendment-protected powers of the states and the people to make their states thrive.
Trump is hamstrung by his hubris, his tragic flaw. He has zero humility and, therefore, cannot learn from his mistakes.
I wouldn't be surprised if DeSantis has already sold out to the swamp.
Yeah.. we saw how Trump “stopped the swamp” in 2020.
That was my feeling too. He never did drain the swamp or even try. And he knew so little about governing or DC that he probably wouldn’t have been able to identify them…but he was too self-obsessed to learn, alienated people who could have helped him, and ended up actually supporting or at least accommodating people who should have been out of a job in his first day.
I absolutely love Jon Voight, a man’s man, a thinker and a principled American patriot.
