Roger Stone Accuses Lindsey Graham of 'Wilful Sabotage' of GOP's Midterms
Newsweek ^ | Sept 14 2022 | GIULIA CARBONARO

Long-time Republican consultant and lobbyist Roger Stone has accused Lindsey Graham of "wilful sabotage" for making his 15-week abortion time-limit proposal only weeks before the midterm elections in November.

According to a long-running poll by Gallup, some 85 percent of U.S. citizens believe abortion should be legal in some cases, while more than 35 percent think it should be permitted under any circumstances.

On Tuesday, the South Carolina senator approved a proposal for legislation that could institute a nationwide, federal time limit on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

I agree Graham did this with bad intent.

This article is a couple months old. The results on Tuesday bore out Stine’s prediction. Lindsey’s proposal for a national abortion ban had no chance of passing - but a big chance of drawing Democrat women to the polls.

Lindsey was being stupid - or a saboteur.

Why does Hannity keep having him on?

I also wonder about Sen Rick Scott. He came out with a plan to “sunset” Social Security. As if that’s not guaranteed to hurt the GOP at the polls.

Who is telling these senators to undercut the GOP’s election prospects? Who has ordered the code red?

I am finding that Hannity is part of the controlled opposition.
His $250 million fortune was built on being conservative when it was safe to do so, but not so much when it counted.

There is no question that Lindsey was a being a sabateur, imo.
Conservatives have got to stop being suckered by supposedly perfect conservatives, because they are too often scammers.

Yep.

That was obvious.

No one wanted what he was proposing and he did it on purpose.

“Run again, you’ll get your f**king brains beat in,” Stone says about Trump in a clip that circulated this weekend.

Loyalty is important to me. Stone shouldn’t have torpedoed Donald Trump (who pardoned Stone).

Lindsey Graham is a lawyer. SCOTUS kicked the abortion issue to the states. There’s no way he didn’t know that and there was no way his bill would pass. Lindsey knew exactly what he was doing. He intentionally threw the midterms.

I agree but it’s still a good thing that he said it for the benefit of those who don’t have a clue..

He’d have to step down in from Senate minority leader if we took the Senate. Scum.

Roger Stone accusation against Lindsey Graham is unfortunately logical and plausible. Graham must know that the Dobbs decision means that Congress has no power over abortion except in DC and the territories. So why did he introduce his unconstitutional bill just before the elections? The obvious answer is to politically sabotage his own party.

I have aways considered Graham to be a rat but this time he outdid himself.

He is the most dispicable man in the senate, worse even than McConnell although McConnell is much more clever.

Graham is a real a$$hole.

I have yet to read Scott's plan to "sunset" SS. Can you direct me? And yes, between Scott and Linda, how could they be so stupid? After the USSC ruling and Social Security being a third rail, it looks like some sort of concerted effort. I'm a nobody, but even I would know better than to push those two agendas with Mid-terms coming at us. WTH?
