Trump voters are ‘done’ with ex-president: ‘He needs to disappear’
The New York Post ^ | November 11, 2022 | Salena Zito

Posted on 11/11/2022 6:29:28 PM PST by Timber Rattler

The chickens have come home to roost for Donald Trump in Pennsylvania. After he stuck his nose in the state’s Republican primary process last May against the guidance of his most loyal advisers, many of his once-devoted followers say they are done with the former president.

(snip)

“If you’re a Republican in Pennsylvania and you look at Donald Trump’s bigfooting of the people in Pennsylvania and the implosion of his candidates in Pennsylvania, you’re pretty upset,” said Urban, a Washington-based strategist who grew up in Beaver County, Pa.

Urban said his phone has been ringing all week with county chairs and committee people who tell him they’ve had it with Trump.

“They said, ‘Look, we’re done. We’re done with him. He cost us this election and we’re done.’”

He’s not the only one. All day Wednesday my phone lit up with calls and emails from voters who expressed the exact same frustration. One woman said she saw the writing on the wall last weekend when Trump decided to take a swipe at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — calling him “Ron DeSanctimonious” — while he campaigned for Oz and Mastriano in Pennsylvania.

And when Trump went on to tease that he was going to announce “something big” next week (presumably his run for president in 2024), she knew it would hurt Oz on Election Day.

“I had a pit-of-my-stomach moment as I watched the rally,” said the former Trump fan, who did not want to be named. “It is hard to quit Trump — I voted for him twice enthusiastically.” But “at this juncture, I think we have to move forward to a new generation of leaders.”

Murdoch’s Minions, for sure.

Shocked that they’re even allowed to post such drivel. Isn’t there a gopbriefing site for these whiners?

We should all keep in mind that the New York Post is part of the same Murdoch/News Corp. media empire as Fox News a a the Wall Street Journal. Everything they present about Trump is not objective reporting, but is aimed at building a propaganda narrative to promote a corporate/globalist political agenda.

Agree. The original poster can take his loser mentality and get lost. I stand with Trump over McConnell, McCarthy and Rona McDaniel and her uncle Mittens Romney.

Yes.

The election wipe out was mainly due to young voters. Trump will not get enough of those to put him on top. The tide of young voters is still growing and will be overwhelming by 2024. Truth is that it is already overwhelming.

I think DeSantis will be in a good position to fight for those votes.

I think it will be a tough slog even with DeSantis at the top of the ticket, but nearly impossible with Trump.

Word is that Trump will announce his candidacy next week. That will likely doom Walker. But it’s beginning to look like Laxalt won’t pull out Nevada, so as far as control of the Senate is concerned, it may not matter if Walker loses.

This same one banned itself (yeah, right), in 2016.

Time for another long hiatus, for the retread trolls of 2022.

That’s how Utahns now feel about Romney (who is Mormon but not from Utah). They are very disappointed.

I get the heebie-jeebies with deSantis too: he’s a career politician and he knows how to manipulate his voters. We always back these people and they always turn on us once they get into the real power they were after.

Trump is different and he’s REAL. He means what he says and says what he means. Did he say things badly sometimes? Sure - but he owned up to it and kept fighting.

I hope and pray that he runs again.

That’s an odd question. Is it a loaded one? The Constitution should be the overriding foundation for any political decisions.
