Sears was on “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” on Thursday discussing whether Trump needs to step aside.
“Voters have spoken, and they have said that they want a different leader. And a true leader understands when they have become a liability,” Sears said. “A true leader understands that it’s time to step off the stage, and the voters have given us that very clear message. Because this is about America.”
“So if the party wants to move on or some in the party such as yourself, Lt. Governor, maybe Gov. Youngkin feels the same way, but Donald Trump still makes a speech next week that he wants to run for president, what would you think about that?” Cavuto asked.
“I could not support him. I just couldn’t, because we have seen, for example, in those states where he has endorsed the candidates in fact, Republicans on the same ticket who he did not endorse, over performed whereas his candidates totally underperformed by as much as 10 points. We have a clear mission, and it is time to move on.”

Republicans going on TV and trashing a fellow Republican is why they will NEVER win anything..Notice that Democrats NEVER EVER go on TV to trash each other, they will NEVER do it because they are loyal to each other..they talk it out behind the scenes, with Republicans, the first thing they do is run to the media to trash one another. Geez, they act as if Trump went to Ralphs Supermarket and FOUND candidates to run for election there were primaries, and he chose the one that best suit his agenda..and thats it..The more I hear from these Republicans its no wonder they didnt sweep the midterms, backstabbers, fine, if that is how they want it..
I have yet to see ONE national poll showing how Ron DeSantis is favored nationally.. I just want to see ONE poll, showing what people think of him
Be careful with the TDR tag. Many of us like Trump. The problem is the practical aspect.
Trump is a business man. He needs to show a positive ROI in MI, WI, PA. His people in those states were CLOBBERED. Indeed, PA has now chosen TWO brain-dead people over Trump.
Without those states, Trump cannot again win the White House. All he can do is suck up all the oxygen and collapse 25 electoral votes short of 270.
Have to be honest folks.... On the big ticket races, the Trump nominees did not do well.
OZ was the absolute worst choice I have ever seen in my life, bar none... completely off brand to have any shot at a statewide win in PA, We may have lost PA regardless of who the candidate was, but there certainly was no way OZ ever had a prayer of winning... Complete unforced Error in PA, and the $100,000,000+ spent trying to sell that turd almost certainly meant other races were lost where that money would have made a difference.
You can’t stick your head in the sand and not introspect. I support Trump, but there is little denying that a lot of his high level endorsed candidates did poorly, did much more poorly than other republicans in the states they ran in.
I am not planning on abandoning Trump, but to deny the factual reality that his high level endorsements faired poorer than other GOP nominees for statewide races cannot be ignored.
GOP absolutely failed to press its advantage all cycle IMHO... ground game was absolute crap.
Writing this very hard election off as purely fraud did it, is false and destructive.
Everything, and everyone should be introspected about what happened Tuesday, period... EVERYTHING.. noting is a sacred cow.. if everything and everyone is not questioned, then it will just happen again.

If we want to win in 24, DeSantis needs to come out and promise the people of Florida he is not going to abandon us til his term is up and to stand together and back the maga man. He’s young, his time is coming. Let Trump get back in and finish putting this country back together and hand it over in 28. If the dims run someone like Michelle in 2024, I think DeSantis might not win.

Trump was not the one who chose Oz to run. It was the voters in PA. If Trump had not endorsed Oz and Oz lost , folks would be blaming Trump for not endorsing him.
I support Trump, but anyone who thinks that GOP political world is not going to readjust after the midterm disaster is just fooling themselves.
The world changed significantly on 11/8 and anyone who thinks the GOP political world looks the same now as it did on 11/7 they are just in denial.

I am not personally advocating the abandonment of Trump, but if anyone thinks this event doesn’t change the calculus of GOP politics they are only fooling themselves.
Was Trump the reason we lost? The NeverTrumpers are absolutely going to make that argument loudly and vociferously, and there is no denying that his big ticket endorsed candidates grossly underperformed.
However, its also true that the Dems spend money intentionally trying to knock out folks during the primaries to get weaker candidates on the ticket for the general election.... The GOP as a whole did NOT remotely press their advantage this cycle as they should have... and their ground game flat out stunk, IMHO.
There is plenty of blame to go around, but anyone who just wants to shout fraud and not truly introspect is just asking for another defeat next time... there can be no sacred cows, this was a complete breakdown.
