They’ll get right on that, just as soon as they generate more votes, for Hobbs, in AZ.
I support Trump, but anyone who thinks that GOP political world is not going to readjust after the midterm disaster is just fooling themselves.
The world changed significantly on 11/8 and anyone who thinks the GOP political world looks the same now as it did on 11/7 they are just in denial.
Every one and everything needs to be questioned, everything.. there are no sacred cows. Failure to do this will result in more failure.
I am not personally advocating the abandonment of Trump, but if anyone thinks this event doesn’t change the calculus of GOP politics they are only fooling themselves.
Was Trump the reason we lost? The NeverTrumpers are absolutely going to make that argument loudly and vociferously, and there is no denying that his big ticket endorsed candidates grossly underperformed.
However, its also true that the Dems spend money intentionally trying to knock out folks during the primaries to get weaker candidates on the ticket for the general election.... The GOP as a whole did NOT remotely press their advantage this cycle as they should have... and their ground game flat out stunk, IMHO.
There is plenty of blame to go around, but anyone who just wants to shout fraud and not truly introspect is just asking for another defeat next time... there can be no sacred cows, this was a complete breakdown. No it wasn’t simply “Trump”, it wasn’t simply 1 item... anyone saying this 1 thing cost the election is either lying to you, or just a fool.
