Club for Growth: Mitch McConnell Failed to Make Election a Referendum on Biden Agenda, Democrats
Breitbart ^ | 9 Nov 2022 | SEAN MORAN

Posted on 11/10/2022 9:59:12 AM PST by conservative98

CFG-President David McIntosh said during a press conference on Wednesday that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell failed to make the November midterms an indictment of President Joe Biden and Senate Democrats.

One reporter asked McIntosh what McConnell’s standing will be now that it remains unclear if Senate Republicans will take back the Senate majority. He also mentioned that Sen. Josh Hawley said he would not support McConnell for Senate majority leader.

McIntosh said he does not believe that McConnell would face a serious leadership challenge; however, he said that McConnell failed to present a case for Senate Republicans as they now try to take over Congress’s upper chamber.

McIntosh, a former congressman who was elected under the 1994 Republican wave, said that many newer Senate Republicans elected in 2018 and 2020 are now getting “restless” after not being in the majority for years.

He said, “They don’t like serving in the minority. And they don’t see the vision of getting back to the majority. And I think they’ll quietly distance themselves from their support from it.”

McIntosh explained, “Mitch failed to make this a referendum on why Republicans were better than the Biden agenda and the Democrats, and he knocked down anybody’s efforts to have a platform to run on.”

McIntosh said that McConnell’s “style of campaigning” is “spend money and go back and use that money to try to get yourself elected. It didn’t work in a lot of these close races.” He added that many Republican candidates often do better when there is a cohesive Republican vision, such as the 1994 Contract with America that got Republicans the House Republican majority.

Ahead of the midterms, McConnell has declined to release a legislative agenda that would give voters a vision of what a Senate Republican majority would look like.

The GOP never talked about high gas prices and the need to drill...

Never explained that ninety dollar oil was the cause of inflation

Gobbler has failed miserably on every topic and every time...expect him raising the debt ceiling and piling on the national debt. $31,000,000,000,000 and counting will doom us as a nation even more with the uniparty in full control.

If only he had. Then we still could have lost because it doesn’t matter if the system is rigged.

Choosing the right issue or campaigning a certain way only affect how many ore-mad ballots have to be utilized. The worse your campaign, the fewer that they need to cheat you. If it is really bad, they don’t need them at all.

Mail in voting, your electoral money in the bank.

All McConnell had to do in PA was to understand how the Ds were using mail-in ballots and match their effort, mail-in ballot for mail-in ballot. He's not only corrupt, he's dopey.

He and Karl Rove succeeded in making it a referendum on “extremist Republicans” and Roe, all to shove the Trump train off the tracks.

How is it possible for me to seriousy HATE McConnell more than both Obama and Biden and Hillary combined

I remeber hoping Harry Reid would die a slow painful death, now I am praying for McConnell to bleed out his eyeballs and choke to deah on his lukewarm submission

I hate being a hater, but that's the entire point of "politics" anyway

Mitch and his spending were a big part of the inflation problem. So, McConnell has to soft-step it.

I wish Republicans would dump McConnell and Thune, but there are too many BIG GOVERNMENT Republicans in the Senate.

Mitch, like previous GOP minority leaders, is quite happy being the minority leader. It is a lot less work that being majority leader and having to pass bills and such.

The pay is the same, basically. Fewer perks, but with the $millions they already get, a few missing perks are not that noticeable.

And he still gets to meet up with the majority leader and friends for drinks after a hard day of not having to pass bills and such.

Biden says publicly Elon Musk should be investigated for his Foreign activities.

There should be 100 Republicans releasing statements and educating the public on the Biden Family Foreign Cash machine.

Being a Republican is good training for being a fan of a team that never performs well on the field fumbles, and wins.
