The Pence piece posted in the WSJ was pretty self serving and for that reason one can assume it is embellished and dishonest. Lies by omission, context or full creation of fabrication. It was intended to make Pence look good while trashing DJT. Pence should never be trusted to hold any office again.

I don’t believe that Trump said that. One thing is absolutely certain in all of this. That is Michael Pence simply cannot be trusted. If he stabs the guy in the back who elevated him to the veep position think what he would do to someone who he owes no favors to!

Ted Cruz had already worked out a deal where the recording of the Electoral Votes would be postponed and a select committee appointed to investigate election irregularities, in exactly the same way it was done for the 1876 election.

But the storming of the Capitol killed the deals Cruz had with other Senators, and they pushed through the counting of the Electoral Votes.

This is why Ray Epps is so important as an unindicted leader of the January 6th Capitol breach. That breach was pre-planned to thwart Cruz's deal to delay the Electoral Vote count.

Notice how the GOP and talking heads all just run for the fainting couch when Trump criticizes a fellow republican? They should look in the mirror. They have done nothing but criticize and work against Trump for six years. While they say Trump should shut up, they trot out Pence for another round of “I’m so principled, unlike Trump” on the day after the election.

Pence claims he had no legal choice but to do what he did. Maybe he thinks that, but I notice that he has never denounced the fraud, and never spoken about what it would take to prevent another stolen election.
