Here’s how Donald Trump sabotaged the Republican midterms
NY Post ^ | 11-9=22 | John Podhoretz

Hey, Lyin’ Ted and Sleepy Joe: Meet Toxic Trump. You know, if the former president had any self-knowledge or even the slightest ability to be self-deprecating, he might consider giving himself this alliterative nickname.

After three straight national tallies in which either he or his party or both were hammered by the national electorate, it’s time for even his stans to accept the truth: Toxic Trump is the political equivalent of a can of Raid......

Trump's endorsements were worthless because he always waited until his chosen candidate was ahead in the polls before jumping in to claim credit, and his rallies were always about him and not our candidates. And here in Pennsylvania, Trump's rallies did more damage than they helped. I've seen that myself here on the ground and talking to people.

So screw him.

Unfortunately, Trump will keep attacking/threatening DeSantis and others. Why is the big question.

If you remember correctly, DESANTIS endorsed an establishment candidate (who lost BIGLY) during this election. TRUMP was defending his MAGA territory.

Don’t tug on Superman’s cape on FR!

So what does Superman have to say about Trump screwing up so badly during this election cycle, and then threatening DeSantis?

Why do you keep blaming Trump for the corruption of PA that’s been going on for decades?

Friend who is born and raised PA called this race last week. The corruption in Philly is well known.

You’ve been all over FR hating on Trump. You must be tired.

I have evaluated Pennsylvania Republican candidates for primaries before. Most are afraid to take a stand on anything. Check their platitudes on their campaign websites.

Your state doesn’t have a TRUMP problem, Pennsylvania has a spineless candidate problem.

Q: “Unfortunately Trump will keep attacking/threatening DeSantis and others. Why is the big question.”

A: 1- President Trump is running for reelection
2- Governor DeSantis is raising a huge war chest for the primary

Let 2015-16 be your guide

I disagree. President Trump was the only one rally, after rally getting the base motivated and was the only one calling out the disaster happening in DC on a national level!!!! I’m no fair weather friend! President Trump turned our nation around and won the last election too! So to those who think President Trump is to blame, just go stick with McConnell and McCarthy. Those are the two you need to have questioned!!!!

That's a really weak excuse this election cycle when Trump really could have made a difference if he had not made such a jackass out of himself, and if he had actually bothered to share his $100 million warchest with our gubernatorial candidates. He didn't spend one penny to help offset the Democrat corruption machine and Shapiro's millions. So now, Trump doesn't get to walk away from this wreckage and wash his hands of it. Not this time.

You’ve been all over FR hating on Trump. You must be tired.

No, I am just thoroughly pissed off at having to live under Governor and future democrat presidential candidate Josh Shapiro and U.S. Senator John Fetterman, all because of Trump's egomania.

You post hate Trump tripe on every Trump thread you can find.

We get it already, you hate Trump. You’re in good company: Joe Bush, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, The defunct Lincoln Project,

This has been the goal. The Deep State is orchestrating behind the scenes (or not so behind the scenes) to get Trump out. They can’t control him and they can’t buy him.

All the anti Trumpers have down played our successes on Tuesday, making us believe it was a terrible day and we didn’t win anything. When that didn’t work, they again had states stop counting ballots and announce it will take a week to count mail in ballots so they can erase all the R leads we currently hold.

It really was a Red tsunami before it wasn’t.

So you're saying that Doug "No Compromise" Mastriano was spineless?

“The decisive victory by Mr. DeSantis over Florida agriculture commissioner Adam Putnam, a well-funded Republican backed by the party establishment, was the latest evidence of Mr. Trump’s dominant role in the 2018 Republican primaries.

Of the three dozen Republicans Mr. Trump has endorsed in primaries this year, Mr. DeSantis’s win is the one that owes the most to the president’s sway: The Trump endorsement this summer upended a race that had been seen as Mr. Putnam’s to lose.”

Trump got DeSantis elected as Gov. of Florida.

Some are an exception to the rule. But overall, it appears Pennsylvania has weak candidates. It is not the only one.

Then move out of PA. Recognize, as we all do, that its corruption is well known. No R candidate was going to win. You blaming Trump for Fetterman’s win is like blaming Trump for the mess CA is in. It’s ridiculous. Get over your temper tantrum.

HAHAHAHAHA! You’re just looking for a scapegoat.

Trump had nothing to do with the Fetterman camp hiding his stroke before the primaries. Trump had nothing to do with Fetterman refusing to debate until after early voting started. Trump had nothing to do with PA Dems having a 500,000 registered Dem advantage.

As i said, recognize what your state is and has been for a long time and get over your temper tantrum.
