Here’s how Donald Trump sabotaged the Republican midterms
NY Post ^ | 11-9=22 | John Podhoretz

Hey, Lyin’ Ted and Sleepy Joe: Meet Toxic Trump. You know, if the former president had any self-knowledge or even the slightest ability to be self-deprecating, he might consider giving himself this alliterative nickname.

After three straight national tallies in which either he or his party or both were hammered by the national electorate, it’s time for even his stans to accept the truth: Toxic Trump is the political equivalent of a can of Raid......

The media is intent on spreading anti-GOP misinformation. Attacking Trump has long been their bread and butter disinformation project.

Trump didn’t sabotaged anything voter stupidity did and the bonus round of rigging did.

Like I said, Pennsylvania had a Tranny for their Health Secretary. What can you do with a State that far gone?

I certainly hope Trump opens up that $100 million dollar campaign war chest and helps Walker in the run off.

I don't believe Trumps high profile had any or much effect on the results. I have loved Donald from the beginning of is campaign. I voted for him twice and no one would be happier than me to see him returned to the white house. But, it is becoming obvious to me that his shelf life has expired just like Hillary. It is time for him to move on and that is the real reason you are hearing this line of attack from Republican leaders.

Demos outspent GOP by 3-1. Since the former is overwhelmed by its home-grown parasites, of course they continued to vote for those who will take $$ from productive people and give it to them.

Keep fighting wise people up to how damaging the lefts propaganda is and how much they have to lose if they don’t wise up.

Sample case: Good God we have Biden as a president and
Fetteman as a Senator.

I don't believe Trumps high profile had any or much effect on the results.

One thing that is overlooked is gerrymandering. The blue metro area I live in has had a republican in congress for 30+ years. The elections were somewhat close, but the republicans prevailed by a few percentage points. After the 2020 census, Illinois politicians gerrymandered my district and kicked out the incumbent. The Republican lost by `10% to the the Democrat in the newly drawn district.

The charge of the last Neocons. They are eager for Trump to fail, no matter what damage that does.

Yup another round of "We got him this time".

While they would like us to believe that President Trump was the kiss of death with his endorsements. Let's look at the record so far in this election given the fact that in 2020 93% of US Senate incumbents won re-election. So if President Trump's challenger win record is better than 7% he was a net positive for Republican seats.

Just looking at the US Senate endorsements. Pres. Trump endorsed 6 challenger candidates. Laxalt will likely win giving President Trump 1/6, however do you really think that Herschel Walker would have done as well without President Trump's endorsement. What about Tshibaka in Alaska, she beat Murkowski on straight votes would she have done that without President Trump's support? Finally one endorsement was for Connecticut US Senate. There was 0 chance for a win here so here is how I calculate President Trump's record of challenger US Senate races:

raw: 1 win/6 races = 16% against a usual 7% win rate
drop CT: 1 win/5 races = 20% against 7%
award 0.5 for Walker for the runoff and 0.25 for Alaska going to rank choice:
1.75/5 = 35% challenger influence rate over 7% usual

Open seats: if you figure 50-50 odds for these seats, President Trump would need an endorsement rate over 50% to be considered a winner.
There were 7 endorsed candidates running for open seats. 5 won.
Open seat: 5/7 = 71% winners

Senate Incumbents endorsed by President Trump: 100% win rate.

The house races are tedious to go through I will just give you the challenger's and incumbent results. I leave it as an exercise to the reader to check the open seats.

US House President Trump endorsed challengers:
11 wins/18 endorsements in the general election = 61% wins

The US House incumbent re-election rate was 94.7% in 2020. So President Trump beat the 6.3% win rate by miles and miles.

endorsed US House incumbents in the General Election: President Trump had a 97.5% win rate. Above the 2020 win rate of 94.7%

I can't even find a list of McConnell endorsements to compare. Rand Paul has a handful of endorsements on his randpac website. No one in the Party has endorsed as many candidates as President Trump. The man is the best thing that ever happened to the Republican Party since Ronald Reagan and Lee Atwater.

“....Fetterman a senator WTF”

I can’t believe it either. Maybe voters think Fetterman will simply be a reliable vote for Democrats and will follow their leadership. After all Joe Biden is the President of the United States.

I actually believe abortion hurt us this time. I know some disagree, but when the dust settles, that will be clear.

Even if it did, it's a net win with flipping the House. Not holding my breath, but we may yet win the Senate, too.

So, you counter with liberal media propaganda? I know you got a fox news link in there, but that article is based on the new york times article by New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman. She won a pulitzer I believe for her fake reporting of the Russian collusion hoax. Not to mention all her other hateful, fake news reports on trump.

For what it’s worth, here’s Trumps reaction to that latest story about him getting angry with Melania

Trump apologizes to Melania, Hannity for ‘fictional stories’ over Oz backing

How was he hammered? He wasn’t on any ballot. Does this genius even know that?
