Putin - always on hand to cheer Russia's 'victories' - was nowhere to be seen.
Putin's top military commander said troops will retreat from Kherson on orders from Russian Defence Minister Troops will leave 'in the near future' and take up positions across Dnipro River, General Sergei Surovikin said
Giving up the city - capital of a region Putin annexed to Russia just weeks ago - is the most humiliating loss yet General Surovikin said city was impossible to defend as Ukraine's armed forces continue to counterattack
Kirill Stremousov, 45, is believed to have died when his Lexus was involved in a collision with a truck Images released by Russian state media purported to show the twisted remains of his car lying in the road
This is the moment Russia's top commander was ordered to withdraw from Kherson, after admitting the city is impossible to defend in face of Ukrainian advances.
General Sergei Surovikin was hauled on to state TV alongside Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu who ordered him to pull his men back across the Dnipro River and surrender Kherson to the Ukrainians in a heavily stage-managed affair.
Surovikin gave a report in which he said his troops are in danger and civilians are being killed, before recommending a retreat. Shoigu agreed, to which the squirming general replied: 'Yes sir. The troop manoeuvres will be made as soon as possible.'
Witnesses say Russian men have already abandoned key checkpoints around Kherson and have destroyed bridges in an apparent effort to stop Ukrainian soldiers pursuing and capturing them.
Giving up Kerson - the capital of a region Putin annexed to Russia just weeks ago, his only toe-hold west of the Dnipro River, and a key checkpoint on the road to Crimea - is the most-humiliating loss his military has yet suffered.

Okay, have it your way. The Russians are still there.
The Ukies have taken Gen. Sherman’s advice to “quarter liberally on your enemy” to heart.

I have no idea what the border is of the new annexed territory. And it looks like a good defensible consolidation to me. Any Uke attack has to start with a crossing of one of the largest rivers in Europe against a defended opposite bank, shipping down the Dnieper is only by agreement or east back forces can sink it. And the water supply to Crimea remains safe in Russian hands....
Where do you think that is incorrect?
Russians left singing the old song by the Animals: “We gotta get out of this place”.
“Brilliant strategic withdrawal by the brave Russian troops and their leader, Putin.”
The true brilliance will be revealed when the Ukies tally up all the weaponry, ammunition and artillery shells the Rus army left behind. The retreating Russian army is the best weapons supplier the Ukrainians ever had. In the past, they have run so fast, they don’t bother sabotaging the tanks they leave behind.

Today, Russian troops finally cleared the airport in Kerson of Ukraine’s soldiers for the first time since the war. Today, the airport and airfield are in Russian hands.
In further news, the US is denying they are trying to get the Ukraine to negotiate a settlement now. Third parties are also actively being sought out by the Biden Crime Syndicate with denability abounding.
The G20 is meeting soon. Ukraine is at the top of the discussion list. Not all nations are on board with the USG, and possibly see an even split in the G20. Money will not pour into Ukraine forever, thus peace is the objective of
Washington.
The winter freeze will be upon the region soon. Any day now the freeze is expected.
Russia will take the Donbas region, Kerson Region and two other regions most of which are to the West of the Donbas River....
Z-man sez he will never yield one inch of Ukraine or Crimea. Washington may want to replace him after he suffers an accident.
My analysis is the Russian army and Ukrainian army will dig in for the winter in greater Donbas and greater Kherson regions. Actual battles will be sporadic. Both sides will just want to not freeze to death. They will await spring to resume the war
My only worry is Russians using Iranian missiles on Kiev water and electric, thus making it uninhabitable. Other Ukraine cities too. IOW Putin will make war on Ukrainian civilians. His army is a failure when fighting the Ukrainian army.
Your maps must be different than mine, because from where I'm looking, the Ukrianians already control large amounts of territory west of the Dnieper.
“I have no idea what the border is of the new annexed territory.”
It includes the Kherson Oblast, which Russia is bailing on half of it, including its capitol.
True, but they have to come through some heavy forces to come from the north like that. And they just don’t have the combat power/
Dniper River will be the DMZ. I just caught us with sources. Russia did withdraw from Kershon. Now peace can happen. Ukraine has no chance if they attack sovereign Russian terroritory. Putin. Will not be restrained by the special military operation if Ukraine keeps pushing.
The war is over. Russia won.
Zelensky is a dead man walking.
You walk like a fascist. You quack like a fascist.
I wonder if you’re a fascist?
According to Putin, Kherson itself was eternal Russian territory now. He made that statement, warning the West with his usual threats and bluster, about 6 weeks ago.
Eternity in Russia is very short!
Permanent like Kherson? Just a few weeks ago, I saw Russkies online calling Kherson a "fortress" and ridiculing "Ukrainian propaganda" for claiming that Kherson would eventually be abandoned by Russia. Putin himself said that Kherson was now a permanent part of Russia, that its people had been returned "to the Russian fatherland" and would always remain so.
You would think with the record you Putinists have, you'd just STOP making predictions!
Vatnik, if you write like a clinical retard, then you are a clinical retard.
I am sorry for your disability.
