Senate Republicans will hold its leadership vote on November 16, an election that will determine whether Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will remain the top Republican in the Senate, Politico reported.
McConnell has stated he wants to remain the GOP leader, which would pave the way for his top lieutenants to remain in their positions. Sen. John Thune (R-SD) is reportedly planning to remain the Senate whip and Sen. John Barrasso (R-KY) the chair of the Senate Republican Conference.

Lake needs to be Senate Majority Leader. All business that broad is. I really really hope she makes it across the finish line.
I am thinking if Mcconnell is not chosen as majority leader, he resigns. (After all he’s in his late 70s. His time is near!)
What’s the Kentucky state constitution say about a senatorial opening? Isn’t the Kentucky governor a Rat? I would hate to see a Hobson’s Choice of McConnell majority leader or lose control of the Senate!

That may be premature. Some Senate races (like Georgia) may not be decided by then. The vote for GOP Senate Leader should wait till December some time.
